I am currently nearing the end of an extremely difficult Pluto transit. This Pluto transit has been happening for about 4 years now and have another year or so left. First he was square my ascendant and then a few degrees later conjunct my IC. Emotional turmoil, destruction, and rebirth is just an understatement…

Anyways, my question is, have you ever experienced regeneration or something extremely POSITIVE that does not involve suffering during a Pluto transit or at least, towards the end of a Pluto transit? The next 7 months or so is the last time transit Pluto will be exactly conjunct my IC, so I am really, really, REALLY hoping there will a more uplifting rebirth or something majorly positive that will happen because I suffered so much over the last 4 years I don’t think I can take more!

I am used to Pluto, and Saturn, and have lived suffering, rebirth and hard lessons all my life. Most of it comes from my own bad choices and values. I’ve had tPluto on my Cap Moon for a long while and also opposite my Cancer Sun, Mercury, Venus and very soon Leo Saturn. Now, I’m a sucker for bettering myself and I also compete with myself so learning lessons, change and rebirth is amusing. I am also a problem solver so what better way to learn and solve problems than having Pluto hovering?

I do understand the pain this can bring but you should always (!) look deep within and be brutally honest with yourself and ask the questions: where is the positive in this? What can I learn? How can I make it better? It might not be attainable right now, or even tomorrow but no things easy to get are here to stay. I have found that many of us tend to blame the outside for our miseries when all in all, it’s our own fault. I’m not talking about sudden illnesses or death, although, even in those circumstances, we can ask ourselves above questions. It also helps to never compare yourself to someone else. It might be easy if they have more money, better looking (according to you), better job, more luck etc etc. Your only job is to be a good human and the very best version of yourself! No one else matters.

AnastasiyaEnchanted:

There's an important point to make about Pluto and its process:

The hard transits do not bring you anything. You have to dig deeper into your inner strength — and create the outcome you want. That means no longer focusing on all the suffering or difficulties, but focusing instead on what kinds of outcomes you want in your life — and on your resolve to have them.

It is a test of whether you will decide to draw on your deeper power. Stay focused on suffering and you won't do that.

Pluto's transits in your chart to natal Mercury (by parallel) and to natal Uranus (by conjunction) are pointing to the need for changes in ways of thinking. So look for how you can shift your state of mind, and deepen your perspective on life and what is happening.

The positive, uplifting thing is actually what you already know: that you are stronger and greater than any transient circumstances and nothing that you suffer or that happens to you is in any way a negative commentary on who you are or on your worth.

So activate those deeper energies and let the Universe know what kind of life outcomes you want. Start general and basic: if you want peace just say that instead of trying to set a list of specific conditions that represent peace according to your current view of things. Let the Universe fill in the details and surprise you.

Pluto brings awareness of deep seated issues and brings you into a position of confrontation. You can’t ignore it anymore. It’s like living in a house and finding out you have a rotting foundation.

Before, you lived in blissful ignorance and could spend your time, energy and money on making your interior nice or going on holidays. Stuff that brings instant gratification and looks good to other people. But dealing with a bad foundation costs a lot of money and no one even notices, it’s very much an internal process, even though it’s essential because without a foundation you can’t build anything.

You’ll have to make difficult decisions and it will be painful for a while, but it was necessary. And you will grow stronger and tougher through it. It’s an intimidating situation at first, but if you lived through it you know you can handle it and that you are a better person for it. You gain life experience and wisdom.

Edit: I would also like to add that one of the positive expressions as a result of a Pluto experience is that you can become an “advisor”. You can understand people who are going through hardship better and can support and guide them while they’re facing their issues.

I really like this article and its reference to Hecate, the wise crone. To me it embodies the Plutonian experience of gaining wisdom.

Especially with Pluto retrograde, you should be able to get some valuable insights into your current situation.

Another one. This hit the nail on the head. I really had no words to describe my Pluto square moon experience or at least the RIGHT words.. until now. The metaphor about the house and rotting foundation.. amazing. I was trying to describe it like a cluttered room that keeps getting dirty lol, but i like yours way better. It touches on the eureka moment which i think every Pluto transit offers.. in one way or another. At some point we have to connect the dots and realize the foundation is rotting. That's one of the first steps to a Pluto a transit. The change comes after that key moment.

Thank you.

Pluto recently finished up a brutal square to my moon and will continue its journey through my Scorpio stellium in the years to come. (yaaaaay).

I had absolutely nothing positive to say about Mr. Pluto up until recently..

Like previous users have already touched on.. Pluto transits give you personal power you probably never knew you had. It hardens and toughens whatever area of life is affected if you survive it (some don't unfortunately). That personal "power" might look totally different than what you originally had in mind too. Transformation is fickle like that.

I thought strength meant sticking with an abusive relationship until I went through Transit Pluto square my moon. Now strength to me is just following your heart and your instincts, even if it means ending some relationships. Pluto is going to rip you from your comfort spot, beat you to a pulp.. then sit you down and ask you what you learned. Your EGO will feel attacked.

"A bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul."

Very cliché but just an example to get the brain going.

Every transit has the potential to bring positive and uplifting changes. We fight those changes tooth and nails, instead of trusting that it is for our good.

Of course, I am saying all of this in hindsight.

I think Pluto, yes turbulence - the concept I see Pluto represent is duality - the extremes. Pluto teaches us to detach and let go by showing us what we cannot let go of or attach to by bringing in the extreme then we can see what they are - obsession, fear, pain, triggers, etc are the result of attachments that no longer serve us.

When we do we come from a place of acceptance, neutrality, surrender - then Pluto transits run smoother.

Just like how Saturn isn't necessary about limitation/hardship - it teaches patiences and consistency/nurture/investment of time and dedication in order to yield results. Like planting a tree and taking care of it. it bear fruits (wisdom)

❤❤❤. Sorry. I can only imagine.

In my case, I experienced Pluto opposition on Moon and Ic simultaneously (since natal Moon is conjunct Ic in my chart). And it was increased despondency towards all the things that I thought of as intimately connected to me(Moon). As well as the sense of "home".

If ever there was a time that I would have abandoned home/left the country, it would have been then. I didn't feel any love whatsoever anymore for my home or place of birth. And that was actually a defensive response towards my home /country having no love for me.

I couldn't find work, I felt the government was going to the dogs, my family was increasingly distant from me and friends were also cold. In many ways I felt ignored and uncared for. The worst place to be at for a Cancer Moon.

My sister confirmed the effect of Plu opposition on the Moon by going through similar when Pluto hit her Moon last year 2022. As her relationship with Mom reached a tumultuous peak, she found she had to redefine what "home" for her is. And then in the process, find her own place of belonging outside of the familiar space she knew.

Pluto on Moon can be the metaphoric or literal "death" of the Mother. Somehow the relationship changes and you do realise that you two REALLY are separate people. And that their love for you may be conditional ☝🏿. The latter is particularly painful to realize.

After this transit did it's thing, I can't say what the positives have been tbh. I am still waiting. Sometimes unearthing of secrets may occur(as it did with me). And one can find themselves going from feeling familiar with their environment and surroundings in one day, then totally unfamiliar the next.

I hear people talk of 'inner strength' developed during and post this transit. I don't know if that is true for me. What has occurred and continues to be there in my case, is "inner suspicion" of anyone I get close to. There is a sense of emotional trust that is heavily compromised for sure 🙏🏿

That sounds like a difficult time, Aries23Degrees. A hug for you and everyone else who needs one. ❤️

Pluto breaks down old structures that no longer serve us, so we can build new ones. Pluto is the Winter before Spring, cold and merciless but necessary for a fresh new start. It tests our attachments, the more we cling to the old, the more it hurts. Seeing our parents in a different light is very difficult. They are our roots, our earliest memories. But it also can give room for compassion, towards them and maybe even more important, towards ourselves. We are all humans. And in the end, it’s not destruction but transformation. We loose the caterpillar and gain the butterfly. We can mourn the caterpillar but we shouldn’t get stuck on it. Because if we do, we never see the butterfly and won’t experience the lightness it brings. I’m sorry for being so metaphorical. I’m a bit in a mood today. Letting go of attachment is a theme for me at the moment.

Pluto becomes easier to deal with when you stop resisting the lessons and change and embrace everything Pluto is about.

Pluto destroys lies and illusions and can become difficult if you are fighting in favor of something that has no future, or are fighting to keep things that are weak, insubstantial, or are not meant to be part of your life. Things need to change or evolve.

It's just a fact of life that we cannot grow without pain or struggle. Lack of struggle causes both entropy and atrophy.

(example: this is also why some of the most spiritually immature people tend to cause chaos and suffering, because it's their soul wishing to grow. this is an explanation for why many people incarnated on earth aswell)

You can't always control what happens, but you can control how you react.

If you lose something or go through a big change, so long as you accept it, let it go, and have faith that everything will work out, the sooner it does work out in your favor.

Beyond the suffering, one of the things that makes it worse is a lack of faith in ones self and ability to bounce back and fully recover, and lack of faith in the universe or higher powers.

Have faith, keep on keeping on and it'll get better, and so will you.

I don't have a full awareness of this because I experienced Pluto transits as a child, but I think they taught me a lot about life and people. Pluto formed stressful aspects to all of my personal planets and angles from age 6-7 to 14 probably... not sure how long really. Sq Moon, sq Venus, conj IC, sq Asc, Sun, Merc & Mars. It makes sense - I've always seen my childhood as somewhat heavy and serious. I saw a lot of heavy things around me. A lot of difficult interactions among people around me. I think this contributed to being able to read people and situations incredibly well as an adult. It probably greatly affected my value system as well in a positive way.

I agree with Kannon.
I had Pluto conjunct ascendant transit that felt like death, for several years. After that there was a rebirth, and things have been going smoothly ever since. I even didn't feel Pluto's transit opposite my sun later on.

GREAT description, Pluto.

A rotting foundation is definitely how I would describe the feeling. The moment you realize is probably the worst. Depressing is an understatement. Truly eye-opening.. and motivating once you get past the devastation of it all lol.
