Sun oppose Mercury

If Sun conjunct Mercury:
≈ interacting with others is most important to you as it stimulates your need to share ideas.
≈ easily distracted when listening to others, butting in or letting your mind wander
≈ conveying a message or concept with flair makes you a great communicator.
≈ use gestures and facial expressions to help get your message across
≈ tinkering abilities - A natural curiosity matches your mental and manual dexterity. This gives ability with arts and crafts, as well as intricate or precise machinery, from watches to engines.
≈ Studies should come easy, like reading anything from novels to detailed instructions. There may be a talent for writing stories, and you may be good at interpreting symbols, font design or calligraphy.
≈ You may have to contend with nervous ailments or an inability to relax with this aspect.

I swing from being talkative to very quiet => Is this a manifestation of the opposition? Does it include trouble learning too? I am not great with school subjects - all memorization. It's also have Pluto mix into Sun/Mercury contra-parallel too. Slightly wide (Mercury/Pluto) and within orb for (Sun/Mercury and Sun/Pluto) but I think it plays a role in school - ex: I questioned the stuff taught in school. Ex: history - I came to conclusion it's not the truth - it was written by who made it in history. Teacher asked for proof - I didn't have any - I just felt it did.

I find myself to match some of these descriptions, some aren't and I think it's my Mercury conjunct Jupiter widely. (I don't like details much - I'm more of the bigger picture, I grasp concept easily - such as moral of a story)

I have a wide conjunction, and I swing from talkative to almost mute. It can be anxiety-related, or my just needing a break from everything.

My thinking is that you see them as working together or affirming a theme in the chart.

I have Mercury strong by declination.

Mercury parallel Sun
Mercury parallel Jup
Mercury parallel Ura
Mercury parallel Nep

But Mercury opposes Moon
Mercury square Mars
Mercury sextile Venus
Mercury sextile Saturn
Mercury conj Mc
Mercury square Asc

So for instance Mercury Moon opp means I go back/forth between being talkative and quiet- This depending on my mood (Moon).

And so I think that since Jup is parallel Merc (big talker), it would (by extension) oppose Moon. This would reiterate the up/down motion of my moods as attached to talking.

This is true for me. Sometimes I have the gift of gab. But that depends on the company and mood too🙏🏿

teasel, you too huh? Was it social anxiety? I used to be so scared of socializing. Now, I let the nervousness flow as I speak, I can hear the shaky voice - I ramble - my mind racing and I can't keep up I choke and ran out of air. Then there's time I have no response to things others say.

Aries, are you telling me you have Sun/Jup/Ura/Nep and Mercury all blended together? That's some aspect you have. Do you find yourself.. more on the nervous side with all the planets connected to Mercury including all the angles?

lol I can relate to the big talker - I slap myself on the wrist because I can get enthusiasic I might even exaggerating. It's so bad but its out of excitement or for the funsies. I can only speak when I feel confident with myself.

Yes.lol.The nervousness is something I have to deal with constantly. My stomach spins incessantly when unsure, anxious or nervous etc. I think its the Virgo connection (Mercury energy).

Mercury is in house 10. And the current Mars in Virgo transit to house 6 is a much needed burst of energy. Love it. Was actually about to write about it.

With Mercury OR Jupiter, embellishment will occur. Bo th are storytellers. And what's a good story without some embellishment?

I find that Moon adds the emotive and magnetic aspect. The ability to "capture" an audience as the Moon is a pale, cold light (unlike the Sun). So its not meant to imprint the skin. But the soul through memory.

I find when lunar people tell a story. It has a "haunting" quality to it tgat stays with you forever. The impact the story makes on you is subtle, but profound.

It can be social anxiety, until I'm dealing with someone who has their own ideas about me, that can't be changed by me. Then I just let them think what they like, and I don't care.

I was bullied in school, dealt with other things, and dealt with some weird bullying as an adult (online and off, not sure of the reason online, but it was a sister thing offline).

Sometimes I just feel quiet. I miss being more chatty. I was happier in general.

Hang on. I'm doing something, but will edit more in.

I am more nervous in person, unless I'm annoyed. I can still feel anxiety when it comes to talking online. That's more about being misinterpreted, intentionally or unintentionally. It's much easier for me to talk through text now, but I get shy easily. It's easier for me to deal with people who don't like me, unless I'm just responding quickly like this. Because I know nothing I say or do will change their response to me, unless I wildly change my personality or outlook, which isn't happening.

I'm terrible at telling jokes and stories. Can't do it, unless I'm writing something out, so that I can go back and edit. This is about recounting something, I just can't really do jokes, period, unless I'm bouncing off someone else. And then it's rare.

I used to love learning new things, and was okay at studying, but not great. I'd never be a Harvard graduate. At least, I don't think so.

Yes. this is why I've been addicted to message boards in the past, and an old site that was for setting goals and blogging. I would have got more out of it, if I wasn't so shy.

I used to have this with my mum and my sister, and now my mum is gone, and my sister is my sister, but not here.

quote:
≈ easily distracted when listening to others, butting in or letting your mind wander

Sometimes. It's easier for me, if I'm not tired, and I just have to listen, and it isn't a back and forth thing.

quote:

≈ conveying a message or concept with flair makes you a great communicator.

LOL, sometimes. Other times, it isn't appreciated.

quote:
≈ use gestures and facial expressions to help get your message across

Yes, I can gesture a lot, and my face can betray my feelings. Sometimes I look unhappy when I'm not, though.

quote:
≈ tinkering abilities - A natural curiosity matches your mental and manual dexterity. This gives ability with arts and crafts, as well as intricate or precise machinery, from watches to engines.

Occasionally. I was telling my dad, the other day, that I used to be into all sorts of things, and it's like I don't know what to do anymore. Grief brain, depression, etc.

I used to be an artist. I miss it, I loved it so much. I was the mostly quiet artist of the family. My mother was the writer. My sister was artistic, too. My whole family was.

I can talk too much, and too loudly, if I'm really close to you. Or just in a really good mood. But a good mood will leave me quiet and peaceful, too. Just enjoying everything.

≈ Studies should come easy, like reading anything from novels to detailed instructions. There may be a talent for writing stories, and you may be good at interpreting symbols, font design or calligraphy.

I used to read all the time. Stress has taken some of that from me. I need to be able to relax and shut everything out. To just be comfortable, and not worrying about anything else. Bookstores and libraries are two of my happy places.

I used to do calligraphy when I was a teenager! I loved it.

quote:
≈ You may have to contend with nervous ailments or an inability to relax with this aspect.

For my entire life. I didn't sleep much as a toddler, even though I was happy.

I have trouble shutting my brain up, so I write things out, walk it off, play a video game, etc. If I can't relax to watch one episode of a TV show, I can't relax to do anything.

I fall asleep to live streamers, movies, tv shows I've already seen, or videos of people baking (long stread VODS). I tried to listen to something from the Calm app, that's free on youtube, and it didn't help me at all. I was lying there, listening to the rain, and wondering when I would fall asleep. Four hours later, I put on a livestream, and fell asleep a while later.
