To help me in my understanding of astrology, I started looking at event charts. I've noticed that significant events in my life, often have a specific chart that seems to match the energy of that moment. https://www.astro.com/astrowiki/en/Event_Astrology Last week I delivered on the promise I made to my mother, that I would scatter her ashes together with my father's in the North Sea. I had made two previous appointments, but because the waves were too high, the scattering had to be rescheduled. When I checked the birth chart for the event, I felt like this somehow was meant to be the right date. the event chart: comparison with my birth chart: I noticed that there's a strong Cancer and 4th house link, which makes sense as they were my parents. What I'm really curious about is the exact conjunction between Pisces Neptune and Moon in the 4th house. It seems very fitting for a "letting go" event regarding "family roots". A similar theme with the Cancer Sun in the 8th house. Mercury is my current Time Lord, this is my 12th house (Virgo) profection year. So it's very interesting to see that it's making a conjunction with my natal Cancer Mars and Saturn opposite transit Pluto in my 4th house. If you would like, maybe you could share some of your experiences with event charts? 1. Are there events where you have used event charts? 2. What where the main things you looked for? 3. What stood out for you in the event chart (stand alone and compared to your own natal chart)? IP: Logged |

Thank you, Randall. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of interest in event astrology. I know that there’s a lot of focus on romantic relationships and synastry, but it’s very interesting to look at important life events and to connect those charts to your natal. Your graduation, a new job or when you buy or rent a new house, I’ve noticed so many important astrological connections. Too many for it to be a coincidence. IP: Logged |

Neptune rules the ocean, too. So that plus the moon in the 4th, would match your mother’s wish. I don’t know anything about profections, I’m sorry. I’ll have to think about things in my past. I only thought about my own event chart, when I realized how big of a deal it was. IP: Logged |

Thank you for your reply, Teasel. You’re right, there is also a literal connection with Neptune, which is the Roman god of the seas. I also remember my father being a Pisces, he had his Sun opposite my Moon. He and his brothers went on a fishing trip every year. IP: Logged |
