Tennis. As a teenager I was scouted to play collegiately, though turned the sport scholarship down to pursue a different university.

Sidereal: Mars-Gemini-Ascendent

Gemini rules the shoulders, arms, hands

tennis is also a largely mental sport

Always liked combative sports like Judo. I have Mars in Libra in 7th house in hard aspect with Moon/Mercury/Mc and opposing the Asc.

Mars is also in an oppositional aspect with Juno in house 1. Mars also makes a conjunction to my Mercury/Moon midpoint.

I think people who have challenging Mars
OR Moon aspects, may be into combative sports. We are very angry people most times and are very touchy. This may come out a lot in competitive sports when taken as a profession. We can't keep emotions out of it.

Don't be fooled by when Mars is in Libra or Mars is in Taurus/Cancer and think "oh, this person is not that aggressive and easily triggered" because I think that that "detrimental" placement could be EVEN more so .

Mars in Taurus stores anger until they explode. And Canncer Mars can hold a grudge when hurt by someone. Whilst MARS in Libra often wants to appear "nice" but can store resentment and cut you with hurtful words whilst smiling.

With adversarial Moon/Mars aspects, these people tend to become very aggressive and antagonistic competitors. This even if it's not in combative sports like MMA, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling or Karate etc. They may go into entrepreneurship ventures or something that puts them in the forefront so that they don't take orders or get told what to do.

I look at infamous temper tantrum thrower tennis legend John McEnroe. He would have also done well in MMA fighting. But more the cocky , smart mouthed personality in the ring. Very attractive to the media.

Mars in Gemini is conjunct Moon (touchy)
Mars is also square his Sun, Merc,Plu and Chiron.

Moon is square Mercury, opposed to Jup and square Pluto.

He has Asc in Lib(ironically). Peaceful? No. Ven is in Pis in house 6. He finds much to be dissatisfied with & criticize. A tough person to please.

Add to this, his North node is in Libra in house 1. So he is still LEARNING to be more accommodating and less volatile. South Node is in Aries in his 7th house. This could explain his hostile "sore loser" attitude on the court?

His Sun in 5th house makes him quote the personality in the sport. Very entertaining. But that Sun conj Merc, square Mars, Jupiter and Pluto makes him very volatile and easily agitated too( as we have often seen).

Now smart mouthed Connor McGregor has lots of Mercury oppositions (as he should) in the sign of Cancer. He knows where to hit where it hurts because he himself is easily hit where it hurts.

His Moon in Can rules his Mercury. And he has Sun/Moon and Merc in house 3. A very articulate person. Lots of nervous energy.

We also find that his Mars in Ari square Sat,Ura, Nep and Chi- The firestarter.

Another person who is NOT into combative sports professionally but is also into combat (by way of debate) is Ben Shapiro.

Moon opp Ven/Ura and conj North node.
Mars is square Sun conj Pluto.

Whenever I see Moon or Mars very active in the chart with adversarial aspects,I think " touchy". So such a person may be into competitive or combative sports where there is a lot of physical contact.

I see this especially when together in a stellium or T-square formation. The individual can be very antagonistic. This because they feel other people "antagonize" them too🤷🏿‍♂️

Swimming, or baseball. Mars in Pisces. I’m not a big sports fan. I used to love to watch ice skating, but I can’t skate to save my life.

I have moon/Venus square mars, and am not a sore loser, I just can’t stand unfairness. Sports is a game, I’m not that competitive. If I feel touchy, it can blow over easily. If someone does try to antagonize me, they can briefly be successful, but then some people will always be bothered by you. There is nothing you can do, and twisting yourself into a pretzel in an attempt to please, isn’t something that I do anymore. It was never really to please, but to appease, maybe? I love finding common ground with people, I hate fighting. So, now I can feel something in the moment, and then be okay. Bad days it will take longer, but I actually find it easier to deal with people like that. I’ve had people praise me up and down, and then flip like a switch. That is disconcerting. I don’t trust it.
