The only “forever” is death, and even then you’ll get people talking about past lives, meaning death isn’t forever. Health conditions can make it so that you can’t lose weight. I’m not a doctor or nutritionist, so I don’t know what to say. IP: Logged |

No. I have a Taurus stellium, including Venus conjunct Jupiter. I’m not overweight, more on the athletic side, but “sturdy”. I think a sign can something about your build and your relationship with food but it won’t determine if you’re overweight or not. It’s mainly social class and mental health related. Being overweight is associated with low income. That’s why it has such a stigma to be overweight. It used to be the other way around, when being overweight was only for the upper class. It was glamorized. Just look at old paintings, like Rubens. There have been several studies that also indicate there’s a relationship with mental health. Comfort food is often sweet, salty, high fat and low nutrition. It’s difficult to do things and become active when you’re feeling low. And a bad gut health impacts your mental health state as well. It’s easy to get stuck in a negative spiral. IP: Logged |

It's interesting because I see the Ascendant ,8th, 6th ,12th house as very connected. And your placement of Chiron in Taurus in house 1 , is an example of what I mean. With Asc in Tau, 8th house Sag and 6th in Libra and 12th in Aries. So the Tau Asc has life either present itself to them in a sensual, beautiful way. Or in a dangerous, unstable and unpredictable way(Sco Dsc). So in either case, the unconscious response or unconscious coping mechanism that are developed into conscious awareness , are an appreciation of stability, consistency and security. Using the example of weight issues, Chi in Tau there may suggest that (on one hand) storing weight in one's body may be reflective of the body's coping mechanism to feel safe and protected. But then(on the other hand) there is someone hiding within. For if you build high walls to keep things outside. You also (consequently) imprison something else within. So with food, there is the unconscious impulse to have(Ari 12th),the inability to find a boundary, "stopper" or barrier (8th house Sag). And so this may lead to someone who needs to develop balance (Lib 6th). Restrict sometimes and allow at other times. The current Uranus transit can do things to this established relationship with the body (and weight issues). It can interrupt set or established patterns from the past I.e. how you feel about your weight. This to a point where you want to do somethimg to radically change it? Or it can make the body discomfort thing "part and parcel" of your identity I.e. you may use how you look as a way to differentiate yourself from others. Like a comedian who uses their issues with food to poke fun of themselves and let other's know of their fluctuating relationship with their own self image. Triggers from Mars(ruler of the 12th house in particular) may exacerbate impulsive buying of "more" or the triggering of old patterns that contribute to current self image. Watch out for those. This could include feeling like buying something sweet and rich. Then consuming it all in one go. Afterwards you beat yourself up about it and have regrets etc. The impulse buying (Aries), the consuming it all in go (Sag) and then the regret and back/forth (Libra). Someone on here mentioned that being overweight is about discipline. I have never been overweight. So only you can answer that. But I don't know if "discipline" is what I think it is. I see it more connected to feeling safe and secure (this especially WITH Chiron in Tau in house 1) . Tau has a strong connection with food (imo). And if we are dealing with Tau, we can't leave out Sco. As this is the security/ insecurity axis. The two very much inextricably linked to each other. The irony with Chiron in 1st is that what can help you feel more secure in your own body, can also be what kills it.

I have Taurus in Venus in the 2nd house Taurus and was built like a strong American Pitbull and I didn't really go to the gym walked alot and ate taro and fish but I'm like a bit like Billy goat maybe turning into Capricorn in my 10th house and Aquarius mars in 10th house as I get older alot leaner. I don't think you are destined to be overweight but have a look at your natal chart and progression and your north node your destiny and house. I have north node in Aquarius in the 10th house. Have a look at your Will in mars. Will is strongest than natal chart. My diet is different now that I'm in bed most of the day I eat lightly fruits and vegetables and I drink biodynamic grape juice. Have you tried the colour diet in Linda Goodman star signs book. It's for plummies and skinny. You can eat as much as the colour food as you want and drink purple grape juice. I drink biodynamic purple grape juice for physical immortals and not just weight.

I didn’t mean that it’s impossible to lose, just some conditions can make it harder. With the way food and drinks were making me sick all the time, I should have been underweight, but I wasn’t. When I got food poisoning, I lost weight again, when I was sick for two weeks, and still had no appetite for another week. As soon as I started eating again, the weight came back. I was told that my body was constantly in starvation mode, so it held onto whatever calories it could. My sister was really overweight for a while, as a kid, and never wanted to go back to that. She was barely eating at one point, after we moved back here. Was vegan for a long time, until she got Crohn’s disease, and it wasn’t helping. She started eating meat again, starting with bone broth, tried the keto diet, which helped for a while. I heard she went back to a vegan diet. Last I heard, she was was getting checked for TB, before starting a medication for something else going on. She had put weight on again, when I saw her in 2016/2017, I don’t know how that’s going now. She’s Chiron in the first house, too. IP: Logged |

A lot said here is right - from my knowledge in years various reasons can cause it in any type of person. - Even former athletes. Which tells me that some bodies are moreso inclined to put on unwanted mass, if not in constant motion. Routine regimes. Jupiter people imo run a strong risk of adding bmi over their years but can be chubby children too. Using a few examples I've personally known.
My mother is a Sagittarius Sun. She was a child with baby fat until she went into her mid 20s it was present. Due to her lack of physical activities, later it came back. I knew another Sag Sun who is a masculine, he was never trim though had a burly physique - he was strong and not lazy. Yet his physique to some seemed fat, he had zero giggle factor. Extremely active too. On the contrary my best friend from hs years was into snow skiing and equestrian arts, she was fit all through her life, Sagittarius Sun. I'm a Sagittarius rising (ascending jups might have strong potential of weight issues) , my weight has been a Rollercoaster. Off and on chubby childhood. In jhs I got into track and trimmed down. Then after a bad injury swapped that for dance and trimmed more. Maintained the dance LS about 5 years. I wasn't skinny but not chubby either. I'd say fit and proportioned well. Some events occurred and I lost my self confidence, gained a helluva lot of weight. Which remained about (embarrassed to say) a decade. I got very serious and with no surgery, drug or coach, took off over 100 pounds. Wore bikinis afterwards too. Sagittarius is expansive and it's up to these wearing these energies (Moon too) how/which way they direct them alchemically in the care of the physique. There might be some jupiter influence ppl that take fitness/weight control too far as well. Jupiter can be extremes, addiction. As was said re wealth or lack of it playing a role, that is so very true! Being able to afford wholesale produce is a key in maintaining good weight, optimal health. Destined to be might be up to each facing the issue of carrying the excess unwanted girth. As Vansio said in her response, it was her recognizing it. I've looked at my charts and can say my 12/1st house Neptune can be a friend and enemy (frenemie?). I'm gifted with genes that are forgiving of weight - to a point. Yet my face as well remains thin, my other areas first can grow. Which self delusion is extra powerful when not truly looking at self fully - that's where personally I've gone wrong. The offenders I let betray me were jupiter and Neptune. Fortunately when I lost that weight before, I learned a lot and many changes imprinted within. Destiny is up to the one in which is ignorant and bliss or fed up and revved up.
