Topic: Decorating through Venus retrograde

I have purchased a drawing and two prints from a certain artist before Venus came into retrograde. But Venus is already retrograde, and would still be so when I receive the drawing and the prints in the mail. I will then need to frame them and hang them on the wall. Given that the purchase took place before Venus retrograded but the decoration would take place during Venus retrograde, would the result necessarily be upsetting?

Is not a painting that sacred moment in time when God reveals to the soul of the artist all about His divine creativity? Is God ever subject to transits or station points? Life is never what you look at...it is always how you want to see it...

Very beautiful perspective, Eternal Energy. I do hope it would prove as a good timing for that timeless inspiration. Love is also sacred, free from astrology.. and yet astrology advise not to begin a love relationship while Venus retrograde. Still, I'd like it to be just as you expressed ❤IP: Logged |

Your question reminds me of when I used to have every aspect of my life dictated by astrology...  Anyhoo, to answer your question, if you are so concerned about Venus retrograde, you can wait until after it passes to do the redecorating... IP: Logged |

I want to paint rooms, which I can't afford to do right now. I also want to redecorate, paint cupboards, because we can't afford to replace them. I was thinking about all of the couples getting married last week and weekend - three that I knew of, with more on the way, during Venus retrograde. I wonder what their wedding charts will be like, but they also seem to be really solid couples, so it probably doesn't matter. IP: Logged |

Interesting, Belage. I had a "bad" love relationship that began during a Venus retrograde, but maybe that's not a rule.. I don't have everything dictated by the stars, but I like to use whatever knowledge I have to live better...IP: Logged |

I have paint in the basement, that I bought seven years ago, to paint the bathroom. :/ I might be able to use that, if I can clean the walls again. I bought it just after we lost mum, because the colour that's there, reminded me of one of the bathrooms in the waiting room at the hospital, but then depression took over (also other health stuff). I will go ahead, if I can afford some paint for another bedroom, or the kitchen. But I need to clean the cupboards first. IP: Logged |

but do you like them? Otherwise you wouldn't purchase it?I've done things during Venus Rx. If it's not out of impulse or at a not so good state (ex. I don't feel good and to make myself better) - it's genuine. I purchase this book before the retrograde and received it first day of the Venus Rx. I end up loving it. IP: Logged |

SimplyLuna - yes, I love the drawing and the prints. They are not for everyone, though, and I'm receiving clients at home. I've already decided where I want them. I did buy them on an impulse - it's an artist I loved for a very long time, and suddenly I "had" to have her art, and bought two prints. On synchronicity she offered original drawings for sale just at that time to help her relocate, and I just had to have one of them. I bought a pencil drawing, since I did not wish to spend a big sum of money on a painting, and yet I had this urge to get an original. It's quite an impressive piece, though. I read in several places that decorating the house is inadvisable during Venus retrograde. Maybe even the simple act of hanging the pictures on the wall could go wrong somehow. I have no idea. I wouldn't equate it to the book you bought - a book might be more of a Mercury thing than a Venus thing. IP: Logged |

I would think so too but what if this Venus retrograde into my 3rd house? Then again you are right. It doesn't not equate to house decor. The other day I almost fork out $$ on an expensive course - had to reflect on it and asked a psychic lolol she said yes but my intuition said no. But what do you have to lose if you can postpone on the house decor, if that's a concern? Def follow what your intuition say before anyone else. IP: Logged |

Yes, SimplyLuna, I might postpone the decorating, just don't want to postpone it for too long. Either at the beginning of September, or at October the 7th, when the shadow period is over.
Though I wonder, as I planned this prior to the retrograde. I'll listen to my intuition, like you have, it would probably be the best.IP: Logged |

I did the same thing sort of. I ordered some clothes off of Amazon a few days before the retrograde. If anything they are just clothes off of Amazon, and I used a gift card. I got them in the mail today. I don't want to wait until September to buy new clothes.I even ordered a VHS tape of Amazon during this retrograde. I even got my hair cut about a week before the retrograde and got a retro hairstyle because I went to an 80's party. The last time I got a haircut was in March......so I was kind of like oh crap do I really want to wait that long? Heck no. I think you'll be fine. But what do I know? One of my rules for clothes/jewelry shopping during this time is only if it's second hand. I feel like the odds would be that much more in my favor. I also bought a candle holder about a week before the retro. I am very happy with my decision. I have a spiritual connection to butterflies, I saw a bunch of butterflies before seeing it at the store too. So I knew I was meant to have it. I didn't shop much on my vacation. But I did buy a new wash bag for my bars of soap. I got rid of my old one since my ex husband use to wash his butt with it. IP: Logged |

My friend gave me some flowers from a wedding she worked. I scored some light purple roses. They are on my desk/altar now. A transit in itself means nothing in particular and every transit recommendation is generalized. To individualize it, if you are thinking about the effect of this transit, did you look at your 4th house and how the Venus retro will affect? I think house decoration and revamping are a 4th house matter. If your 4th house is untouched by this transit, I wouldn't worry about it affecting my decorating it.

I did something fantastic that was very fitting for Venus retrograde in Leo. I went to the Memphis Furniture Museum. They had pieces in the museum too that David Bowie owned.
