Hi everyone!

I'm sooooo excited there's a forum this extensive for all things astrology! I'm a brand-new astrology geek, after a prolonged and chronic illness most of this year kept me bed-bound, and I'd spend hours upon hours exploring astrology. It's a total passion now, and I used to be a big time skeptic about it - go figure!

Two things:

My natal Chiron in Aries is conjunct transit Chiron in Aries, while my natal Venus in Leo is conjunct transit Venus in Leo right now, and can I just say ..... ooooooof. I was wondering why the waterworks hadn't stopped all day and then I remembered about that transit Venus - Chiron trine today! I feel like a wide open heart walking around in the world today - yay for crying in public haha. Wondering if anyone else is really feeling it too.

And then the other thing is that now that I've been deep into exploring countless astrologers on podcasts and YouTube (I often joke that as a non-TV watcher, astrology talks are my version of Netflix and chill) I'm wondering why some - not all, but some - astrologers speak of Neptune, or Neptunian energy, with such revulsion and dread. I get that Neptune can be connected to confusion, fog, and even deception and illusion .... but why the haters on Neptunian energy? Would love to hear people's thoughts on this. Like I said, it's not all astrologers, but enough to make me really wonder about it.

Thank you for having me here! I'm really excited to be here.

Welcome!

I like Neptune energy, when it comes to creativity. I used to be an artist, and I have mars in Pisces (ruling my sun).

Welcome.🙌🏿

I wonder what your chart looks like? You are coming across Mercurial to me.

Anywho, Neptune is often seen as negative to people who are attached to Saturn-practical, realistic, logical etc.

But to those who are artists, psychics, spiritualists or those who deal with "other realm " related issues, Neptune provides many epiphanies and broader understanding.

What can feel like "confusion" to the former, is often enlightenment to the latter. It depends on the audience.🤷🏿‍♂️

Okay, that makes sense. Interesting!

I have a Virgo stellium -,sun, Mars, and Mercury. I know Mercury is in its domecile in Virgo - maybe that’s why I come across Mercurial. 😊

As someone having a very tight Moon - Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius (12th House), I really like having access to that energy as well. 😊

I think a lot of people who study astrology may view Neptune (or other planets/transits/etc) in a negative light, because if you are unhealed or unwise, you’ll be viewing things from a limited mind. Every planet and transits has its negatives, but it also has its positives. It’s up to us, individually, to make that interpretation. While some may see Neptune as foggy and unclear, others see it as intuitive and dreamy. Some see Uranus as scary and debilitating; others see it as a rush of excitement.

It all depends on what level of consciousness you’re currently at

Also, welcome! ✨☀️🌙

Oh wow, that's such a great insight - I never thought of it that way! That makes so much sense. Apropos of nothing, but I happen to love Uranian energy. Yes, oftentimes disruptive, to be sure, but I'll also take lightning-quick quantum leaps and breakthroughs!

What you said sort of reminds me of how I'm starting to feel about orbs as well. I see orbs SO hotly debated in the astrology world. I was thinking the other day that a very energetically sensitive person might feel an aspect with a 10° orb, while someone who isn't quite as sensitive might not feel the same aspect at a 3° orb. With my natal Venus in Leo at 12° and my Chiron in Aries at 24°, yeah, that's a very wide orb .... but I guarantee you I feel that, and have most of my life. So that's my 2 cents on orbs, not that you asked!

And thank you for the welcome 😀

That response was delightful - brought a big smile to my face! With that Virgo stellium, I'm like a dog with a bone in its mouth when it comes to the Oxford comma. I just can't let go of it.

sighs.

I remember when I first stumbled upon this site over a decade ago (under a different username).

Same reaction. Brings back memories.

LindaLand is truly a diamond in the rough.

Explore the LL search engine.

Enjoy. <3

Thank you so much 93nov! I'm so glad you mentioned that LL search engine - I'm having difficulty locating it. Right now I'm relying on The Google - "Lindaland" + [fill-in-the-blank-astrology-thing]. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks again!

Google is definitely another way to do it for sure lol.

but if you ever want to narrow your search a bit.. here ya go <3 hope it helps.

If you click on any of the sections on the main page, you will see the link at the top of each one on the left-hand side. It should say: “LindaLand Search Engine!”

In this section, for example, it would look like this:

ASTROLOGY 2.0
(moderated by LaLaLinda)”

http://www.lindagoodman.org is the search function, but it doesn't always work for me.

I've used site:linda-goodman.com on google, and on bing. Bing sometimes works better.
