I was thinking of Hermes. Wondering how we each embrace our thinking. Reasoning skills. Logic. This link shares each placement of Mercury. http://astrology.tv/how-to-understand-mercury-in-your-natal-chart/ Do you feel yours describes you well? Please share. Mine is Capricorn. I'm not scientific or mathematical. Though my house it's in is Venus oriented/owned by the natural formula. Over my life numbers really weren't my Forte. I couldn't get the hang of them beyond fractions and algebra was soso. I'd say I didn't learn enough there. Now, I'd say gematria and numerology are but with my placement, perhaps I might have embraced "number crunching" and aimed for wall street. As my chart might support that. My other aspects and life would sway my usage of numbers. I look at them purely in mystical way.
My mercury is Cardinal. In those ways I'd say I fit the Mercury I was born into. His house which it is inhabited by my actual Venus there, as well Moon&Sun. (Gemini) I'm verbose, especially with like minded individuals. But to be true my troubling set back brought on by being a cappy mercury is perfectionism. This has been an undoing part of my character my whole life. I need to let go and release that "need to do things" as I perceive as "right" and just have satisfaction when I carry through and just do well. Because perfectionism can easily dissuade someone from ever "trying". It has with me a long time, with many areas of life.

This is quite interesting. I don’t think there’s enough attention to Mercury in astrology. I see it resonates with the many.I need to take a closer look later. I can be indecisive as Libra in some things, but I often know what I don’t want having fixed Mercury. There’re things where I can be very particular and stubborn and won’t compromise unless good benefits are provided. Also, I could sting and trigger people by accident. My intuition could outweigh logic. I don’t like to ask advices if a subject is too sensitive to me. IP: Logged |

Very nice interpretation of mercury as it relates to the sun sign. The information given was certainly true of me with my Libra Mercury and Virgo Sun. Mercury in Libra With Sun in Virgo: Mitigates Virgo’s tendency to worry and adds an air of serenity and calm. A love of fair play and justice, but some indecisiveness, especially in love.

I haven't checked the link yet, but I can be a perfectionist. I have Mercury square Saturn. that might part of what brings on my social anxiety, too. My sister has Mercury in Capricorn, and she was good at maths. It wasn't my thing. IP: Logged |

With Sun in Aries: Very fast thinking, lots of impulsiveness, very little patience. Can be selfish due to not thinking about how impulsive actions will affect others.
I can be really patient, it just depends on how stressed I'm feeling. I used to be inordinately patient with people. Not so much anymore, but I try. I can think of a few impulsive decisions, but mostly, this isn't the case. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Aquarius With Sun in Aquarius: Can be a difficult personality, sometimes with extreme views. However, can also be an innovative genius – but struggles to accept ideas from others. ———————- Nah, I’m pretty chill Intellectually intense but otherwise chill. Hm, Mercury is conjunct Sun and Desc, all trine Pluto, square Uranus, sextile Neptune. The older I am, the less f*** I give haha. I can get intense and I love mental challenges, but overall I like my peace and I’m quite diplomatic in social interactions ⚖️IP: Logged |

This fits me. Cancer Sun 11H conjunct Mercury. Both trine Uranus and both square Pluto.

Mercury Virgo/Virgo Sun - that's pretty accurate, for the most part. I do really enjoy research quite a bit. I also have my Mercury Virgo sitting directly opposite a cluster of Pholus-Ceres-Juno-Jupiter in Pisces. Not sure if that's what ended up making me a poet, but I definitely am the type of poet that will agonize over a conjunction or a piece of punctuation endlessly. 😂 ------------------ "The ocean never misplaces even a single grain of sand." Even though I have Mercury in Cap,I must admit that I am many times way too impulsive and jump into an idea before it's fully formed. And that's because of my Mercury being in square aspect to my Mars. I just can't wait to "do it".I also quickly abandon an idea that didnt work. I tend to attach ego to one that does ,then proceed to ram it down people's throats 🤷🏿♂️ My sister has Tau Merc. But she is similar. Not practical at all. And that's because Mars is on her Moon/Merc midpoint. She is quick to run into a new idea or abandon an old one. IP: Logged |

I checked the Mercury/sun information in the link for 5 people that I know pretty well, and it turned out to be very accurate, like 90%: An Aries Sun and Mercury A Libra Sun and Mercury An Aqua Sun and Mercury A Aqua Sun and Capp Mercury A Gemini sun and Mercury The 10% innacuracy, I could chalk off to other natal aspects affecting the Sun/Mercury configuration.

Merc is at the highest point in my chart, square the relational axis. I am verbose. It is at the start of a stellium that includes Moon, Venus and Saturn. The aptitude for delving deep into a topic is there, if it concerns lunar and Venusian themes. Merc is in Leo, and squares Uranus on AC, so I either entrance or repel others with my speech. It trines Neptune, it sextiles Pluto. I can deliver Braveheart declarations as easily as a Dominos guy deliver pizza. I have a probe in my arsenal too, to be deployed when called for. Merc is disposited by Sun conjunct an exalted and accidentally dignified Jupiter. The brain is fed by learning. Lifelong may it continue to be. Ps. Some might think the Jupiter makes the Merc prone to roaming too far and wide. IP: Logged |

she could also not invest in it because she saw that it's not worth the trouble. Taurus placements often do that, put everything in balance and see if it's worth it. I have a rule of 70% to 30%... if it doesn't have a chance of 70% of success, I won't do it. I take chances, but again its related to if it worths the trouble that may cause if it's not going to work out. It may be different in her case because she has Mercury there and I have Moon/Venus.. but it's still a theme. And the trouble thing I think it comes from this sign since Taurus doesn't want to be bottered. IP: Logged |

"Mercury in Cancer With Sun in Gemini: Able to blend logic and intuition well, getting the best of both worlds. Writing and language skills and a strong ability to judge people and to read situations."Yeah, I'd say that fits. I also have Mercury tightly conjunct Mars though (both also conjunct Midheaven) and that gives my Mercury quite a martial sort of energy too. Quick thinking, bold and blunt, always up for a debate, brain to mouth filter a bit lacking... IP: Logged |
