Can anybody testify about experiencing Saturn passing through their 8th house and nothing too horrific happening?? I’m coming up on this in the next couple of years and I’m trying to convince myself it’s possible. Everything I’ve read basically says to prepare for all of your worst nightmares to come true.

I had it as a preteen and it involved an uncomfortable transition from private to public school. It wasn’t pleasant but it wasn’t what I would call nightmare fuel. I just kinda expect as a karma-laden adult Saturn might not hold back this round.

It will clean up your sex life that's for sure.

It will make you get serious about sex, working for money, other people's money, death and all sort of 8th house matters. Yes, it can be horrific... But there are important lessons to be learned.

Don't stress yourself out beforehand. You will have plenty of time to stress on that bridge when you get there.

Worst nightmares come true ayy?

Well I have Capricorn as my 8th house. Around that time I had the worst sex life I've ever experienced in a relationship. BUT also the most financially stable partner I've ever had. I don't think I will ever experience being with someone who could hoard money like that ever again.

Also work was over bearing. But that seems to be an on-going on and off theme with me. Things are kind of starting to level out for me though.

I was sexually harassed, and it wasn’t isolated to that time frame. It continued on and off.

But the last six months of Saturn in my 8th, weren’t bad.

That was when I started studying homeopathy, and flower essences. .

It completely depends on your individual chart. I had it recently but it was also my Saturn Return, and my Saturn squares both my sun and Pluto, so for me it was pretty bad. Divorce, death of an estranged parent, the most psychologically damaging work environment I’ve been in as an adult, mental and physical health problems, selling a sentimental home, other parent in hospital, etc.

So IMO it depends on aspects it makes to your natal Saturn and other planets. Also on other transits - for example, I had transit Pluto squaring my natal moon/Venus conjunction at the same time.

A number of things come to mind. On a mundane or practical level, it may be hard to get a loan. It may mean dealing with insurance or tax matters. A spouse or partner's finances may undergo some challenges or be diminished. It may mean a period of celibacy. Some people may become more aware of their mortality. It's not a lighthearted transit to be sure for this is Saturn combined with the 8H.

The 8H is also about mysteries, including the great mystery which is death, but also metaphysical or esoteric mysteries, which may be subjects of interest during this transit. It's also about the boundary between life, which is familiar to us, and what lies beyond. This includes lucid dreaming or out of body experiences. My experience of this transit includes some of the mundane things mentioned. But also hearing people's accounts of their near death experiences and how these radically changed their view of what is real is very inspirational, which is so in line with the meaning of the 8H.

I think how we experience an 8H Saturn transit depends on the age of the body, our awareness and attitudes regarding the areas mentioned, and transiting Saturn aspects to any natal planets aspecting the 8H or in the 8H.

The only thing I remember during my Saturn transit to the 8th house was that my sex drive was very low.
