I noticed in the first week of the year how slow things are and how so many venues are empty. New Years hangover or what?

The bookstore was busy on Friday afternoon/evening.

People I know, are doing a gentle January. So am I. No juice cleanses, no pushing yourself with a new workout.

I don't know. If anything I noticed many people actually don't drink as much as they used to because they're finally realizing how poisonous it is. Not only that but their body can't take it as well as it used to.

People are changing I guess... Hopefully for the better.

Meanwhile in Sweden at 2pm: I’m being called a Communist Feminist by a very (!) drunk Finnish person in my store. Why was I called that? Because I didn’t want to lend him a lighter so that he, his words, could expand his old ear piercing.

one of my friends is having a housewarming party and she wants everyone to be sober. No weed or booze. One of my other friends is complaining, about how she wants everyone to be as miserable as her. I find humor in the whole thing. I feel like she would flip out if someone came over buzzed or smelled like weed.

I need to try to continue to embrace the "gentle January" because the next week is going to suck weather-wise.

People are extremely burnt out! Some are even cranky!
