Topic: Does Venus Natal just show superficial attraction?

Sometimes i don`t understand why i attract men with certain Venus signs because i don`t think i`m truly their "type" but in a superficial sense i can see why they might have been attracted based on the superficial likes of their Venus signs. Like some Signs like soft and simple appearance and some likes more glamour or thick and skinny etc. Has this happened to you too and is Venus more surface level attraction? IP: Logged |

The first earth sign Venus ruled by Venus… can go solely after pleasing things.
Also, charts matter. How Venus is getting aspected. What’s about Uranus and Neptune in charts. They could fool.

Oh okay. Venus is confusing to me like i have noticed that some Venus in Scorpio Males really do go for that classic dark look in Women even when she doesn`t really have that "Scorpio" personality so i`m starting to believe that Venus is more superficial. It`s like what they are sometimes attracted to is solely based on how someone looks, but it`s another story when it comes to what they attract that is when the women tend to embody the Scorpio personality if you know what i mean. So sometimes they can get involved with a woman because she "fit" the superficial part of what they like but later on find out that she doesn`t really fit what they like on a deeper level. For the OP (original poster),it is superficial for me. I have Venus in Scorpio, in the 8th house, too. And I love men with dark hair (I'm a gay man), brown eyes, and I don't mind men who are a bit short (I like tall men too)! But, I'm not romantically attracted to the Plutonian, Scorpionic, personality trait, just the physical aspect of it! I'm more romantically attracted to Yang energy, fire and air! I need an extroverted man! ------------------

Actually I kind of like 35% to 40% take it back. I have been attracted to men with Scorpio-Plutonian personality traits. But most of the time, like 65%_, I'm more attracted to expressiveness (fire and air) than Yin energy (earth and water)! ------------------

I thought it was about Taurus Venus. I saw Scorpio with different types, but Scorpio things take place. I see every Venus goes for different things.
I saw Gemini Venus who needs good mental response as it’s important for attraction. Leo who wanted to show off his gf.
Though the other things in chart can modify it, make it worse or better. IP: Logged |

I’m Venus in Leo conjunct Asc. I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve though I have a lot of inner complexity and my Venus squares my Mars in Scorpio. Interesting... I don't know, I don't really think it's superficial. I am a woman, so I looked at charts of the people I was in relationships or had super hot romances with.
Out of 11 charts, 6 had Venus in earth signs, 3 in water, 2 in fire. But the thing is, I don't have any earth in my chart and I have only Mars in water (Pisces)! 9 out of 11 of them had earth and water Venus and I'm all air and fire (Venus in Aquarius). The most irresistible attraction was with two Taurus and one Capricorn Venus. In most of those cases their Venus made harmonious aspect with my Mars in Pisces... that's the only explanation I have.IP: Logged |

in tropical i have venus in libra, it's on my ascendant though with a tight orb, can't really say it fits in terms of how i feel about other people or what i'm attracted to though it's heavily aspected and part of a kite (sextile uranus and mercury and opposite my moon which are all trine each other) and a t-square (i have mars loosely conjunct my ic squaring both venus and moon) i have running along my ascendant/descendant axis that's also attached to my nodes (north node in 7th, south node in first) i like nerdy guys ultimately, the look too even. introverts with glasses 🥰 love that, and if they're funny even better. when it comes to guys anyway though i prefer men, with women i prefer a bit more feminine but alt looking but still the introvert thing nearly always there. im drawn to people based on their vibe/energy more than their appearance as well, i don't care all that much about appearances. i've dated people i wasn't attracted to physically because i just see that as a nice bonus but unnecessary for attraction/connection. 🤷♀️ that's not to say i don't care at all there's limits there, but it's not my biggest concern, and of course like anyone else when i'm attracted in all ways that's ideal. i have a personal planet element void and have noticed everyone i've been with has had personal planets in that element but also lacks some element i have in my chart. i think voids seek each other out for balance. IP: Logged |

@Dumuzi, Libras are a little nerdy  I agree, voids seek each other out! But my observation was that those Earth and Water Venuses were attracted to me who is mostly Air and Fire - those people didn't lack elements (for the most part) to seek them in me.
My conclusion from this little experiment is that Venus seeks Mars - in this case those Venuses liked my Pisces Mars.
