So I went on Astro.com and selected Europe as the continent. Initially, nothing ran through France. Then I dropped down to select "all major aspects" and got the Mars Square Ascendant line running through France. Then I picked the next one down below that which was "disharmonious minor aspects without interpretation". To my surprise, way more lines popped up. 1. Chiron Semisquare Ascendant
2. Mercury Semisquare Ascendant
3. Saturn Semisquare Ascendant
4. Venus Semisquare Ascendant Harmonious aspects? NOTHING popped up. Then I did neutral aspects. Here is what popped up. 1. Mars semisextile Ascendant
2. Pluto quincunx Ascendant
3. Mercury quincunx Ascendant
4. Sun quincunx Midheaven So here are all the lines running through France 1. Mars Square Ascendant (main one) Disharmonious Aspects 1. Chiron Semisquare Ascendant
2. Mercury Semisquare Ascendant
3. Saturn Semisquare Ascendant
4. Venus Semisquare Ascendant Neutral Aspects 1. Mars semisextile Ascendant
2. Pluto quincunx Ascendant
3. Mercury quincunx Ascendant

I do not want to get too much into the details right now because I don't want to share too much on this forum. I have a few open enemies on this very forum despite there being a lot of helpful members I am friends with. But let's just say that I will have to be in France, barring a miracle, for a few months next year. A lot of the lines, including Mars Sq MC run through the one city in France I need to be in.IP: Logged |

So it has been going on for years but I have been having a lot of nightmares about France. I spent a couple of years of my childhood in Bordeaux and I am not even sure what it is but these nightmares about France are dark. They involve me coming face to face with the devil. By devil, I mean a scary demonic figure. I am not trying to sound racist here as there is a lot to love about French culture but these nightmares have this heinous, diabolical, and evil undertone to them. If I was to post them in detail, I would gross you all out. They are also quite sexual in nature but not in a fun and pleasurable way, just in a dark and diabolical way. It is like in one nightmare I had, I am at a beach in a French town and it seems beautiful. Then as I meet the locals, it seems friendly at first. But slowly, they all turn demonic. Like almost every nightmare I have had about France, and I have had a few, it is like I am being offered up and I don't want to get more into this but I have woken up from these screaming. In some cases, I have vomited because the nightmare was so bad. Then this situation falls into my life and let's just say every part of me wants to say no. It is however, a family obligation (do not want to get into it too much) where I have to go for that set time and I am not liking it one bit. IP: Logged |

I'm not an astrocartography expert, but maybe I can still give some useful advice to you. I recently started a course in Jungian psychology and maybe I can give you some insights when it comes to your dreams. Jung's psychology is based on psychological totality. This means that your entire psyche has both a conscious and unconscious part. Dreams are in essence your unconscious part communicating with you through images and emotions. This means that your dreams are very personal. It is about what those images mean to you specifically.
Maybe something from your childhood in France is triggering your unconscious. And because it has to do with a lot of fear and shame, I would definitely recommend you talk to a professional about this. It doesn't even have to be something that actually happened to you, but maybe one of your parents experienced something in France that you picked up as a child. The 12th house is known for picking up things that aren't talked about, it can be very confusing as well. In addition, I would like to repeat that Mars and Saturn are not necessarily "bad" energies. Every planet has positive and negative sides. Mars is agression, but also sticking up for yourself. Saturn is limitation, but also determination and endurance. Right now, you're projecting your own inner turbulence onto the planets. Please, use this current situation as an opportunity to heal yourself. plutonianmenace,Thanks for the very interesting topic. And sorry to hear about your nightmares. From what I read, your psychic abilities seem to be awakening, which happens to us and several points in our lives. Are you having any transits to your 12th house, in natal or progressions? What are your natal ruler and progressed AC ruler doing in one another's chart? What about transit Neptune to your natal? Regarding France. There are indeed evil places on earth, and I don't mean all of France, but rather evil locations dispersed all over the world. When you mention in your dreams people slowly are turning into monsters, it seems to me that you are beginning to see people for who they are. A friend of my cousin's had her third eye suddenly opened a few years ago (she's not religious but is a very good person who never lies), and they had to take her to a religious leader to get it closed. She couldn't even go on the street because she was seeing people as all sorts of monsters (it's the human ego, reflected as monstrous forms in the metaphysical realms). Don't be scared of the devil. You have a lot of power and light in you. Your focus should only be on that and in knowing that you are capable of handling anything that comes your way. PlutoWasHere, I agree with you. I love Jung's insights and he researched a lot into astrology as well. Personally I feel where Saturn is in my chart, is the area of my life that keeps me grounded and connected to reality and basically sane, as someone with a lot of water in chart, and Neptune and Uranus aspects all over lol. I traveled a few years ago to this beautiful famous city, and from an astro-cartography point of view, Mars is on AC for that location. I loved how beautiful it was, but I was semi-assaulted by a local man (when we were going for a group pic he quickly reached his hand behind me and touched me inappropriately), as well as got scammed by taxi drivers a few times. I could not wait to leave.
I've also had dreams about Arizona (never visited) a few times, in a post apocalyptic context. I have Mars on DC for that city.
