Yes. Both teach. But in different ways.
I think Jupiter expands one's view as well as the frequency of receptivity. It allows one to absorb the bigger picture that explains the whole or allows one a different perspective.
LOA Abraham Hicks(in her teachings) often speaks of how when you are feeling sad/ angry/ bitter etc, that that is often the frequency and vibe that is different from your inner being (and by extension Source).
So you get the effects of that dissonance by not feeling good or being "out of alignment" . Why? Because your perspective is limited and as such will be misaligned to what is really happening.
Source ALWAYS gets the full picture. So Source cannot be angry because Source is ALWAYS in the receptive mode of seeing where things began and where they ended up.
We respond and nurture a majority of our thoughts to what is going on NOW (outcomes). So this incomplete view can sponsor feelings of hate/disgust or rage etc.(depending on what you are viewing).
Jupiter(Zeus) always wants the bigger picture. This planet is always reaching to understand what connects the dots. The perspective of Jupiter (however) is backwards i.e. it's from the outside in i.e. understanding the external bigger picture, gives us inner insight and wisdom.
So Jupiter will emphasize experience( external) as important and the teacher of wisdom gained. Hence Jupiter people are either exploring the world physically, spiritually or mentally. Always putting dots together and trying to "understand".
Pluto works more from the inside out. It cares little about the honesty of experience externally . But more about one's own feelings and emotions as it relates to them. This no matter how "dark" and "terrible" they may be.
There is something unapologetically honest about Pluto. It is not about being "polite" or "courteous". It is about being real.
It is through being real and acknowledging where you are, that real change can happen. Because you can't change what you don't acknowledge, Pluto energy must bring the deep seated things(mostly very ugly) into the surface and conscious awareness.
The "I didn't know that I felt this strongly about this" or " I didn't realize that the hurt was so deep" etc. Are the domains of Pluto.
But the interesting thing is that once you deal with these angry feelings, you will find that their intensity starts to fade. Because they have been illuminated and brought into conscious awareness, they are obliterated by light and start to not "matter" anymore( hence the word "light workers" and feeling "light" when one takes out all the things that one has been bottling up)
Pluto is about inner authencity gained from subjective experience from seeing the picture as it unfolds. Its not necessary to see the whole immediately. But it is important to be honest with the self about the story as it unfolds. That is what Pluto wants. As that is what nurtures transformation that is deeper than intellectual perusal.
Also, an interesting thing to note, Jupiter is currently conjunct my composite Venus and Sun conjunction. Not much has occurred other than a week ago, my partner gave me some news about our housing situation which will change how we approach living together. It has both positive and negative impacts and I’m currently left wondering which direction to go. Part of me wants to just focus on myself and stay where I am to feel safe another part of me knows that if I don’t take a risk then things won’t move forward in the way I want. There is also a strong drive for me for us to live together (my moon and mars are in the 4th house, he has Venus in cancer and our composite NN is conjunct the IC in the 4th - however it is also conjunct Pluto!
Jupiter always encourages opening up and moving forward. Even if it appears like a "gamble".
But it's not really a gamble at all because Jupiter encourages expansion. You feel the pull towards going out, moving forward and moving away from comfort zones. It feels "automatic" and a natural progression from where you were.
So the moving is Jup.And the natal Pluto influence will come through in increments- changing the relationship with your father irrevocably.
