Topic: Trying to figure out grandfather's rising sign

So I figured perhaps someone has some ideas... There's mysterious stuff and trauma in the family. Grandfather died when mom was a baby. I played with new AI filters in Photoshop and managed to bring some life into an old photo. I blurred the outfit to conceal uniform details.  I have his birth date, but not time of birth. I am attaching the chart too. I realized that of all the people in the family, he is the only one with a lot of Aquarius influence like me. He also had Sun square Uranus like me. And also Sun Pluto aspect like me (he had a square, I have trine). Anyhow... grandma had a lot of Leo (Cancer Sun). So there might be something to it... I am all Aquarius+Leo. 
Anyhow... he looks like might be a fire sign rising. Maybe air, but he already has a lot of Aquarius which might be a reason he looks a bit airy. I go by eliminating signs... for example, no way he is a Capricorn rising.
I don't know much about him. He worked in a force that is something between military and police. He moved a lot for work. Leo Asc would place his MC in Aries, which could resonate with his career. IP: Logged |

Oh interesting, haha, I didn't notice that, but now that you say it, I get it. Good point! Could be. I know the year when he got married. There were a few important outer planet transits - Jupiter sextile Sun and possibly Saturn sextile Moon. If he was early Aries rising, Saturn would have been transiting the Asc. Or if he was Libra rising, Saturn would have been on his Desc. Oh, and Aries Asc would put his MC in Capricorn, which also resonates with career in law enforcment/military. IP: Logged |

I would start with whole signs. Look at when Uranus was in ♑,in ♒, in ♓.
Find out about details of his life between those years. Uranus transits( when angular) tend to make life very erratic and unstable. Conditions show up that are destabilizing or necessitate spontaneous change.
So those kinds of unpredictable/ erratic circumstances would show up. A question I would ask him(if directly consulting with him) is when he got involved in the war? How his experiences were then and how his life was impacted during those years. I had issues with my birth time. But it is confirmed to me (in retrospect) that when Uranus was in cardinal, 💩 flew off!! Even if I didn't know my birth time, the events show that my Asc sign would still (in the least) be in cardinal signs. IP: Logged |

Great point, but I know almost nothing about his life :/ That's why I tried to get some clues based on his physical appearance.
He was a kid during WWI when Uranus was in Aquarius. Uranus was in late Taurus and then Gemini during WWII. He died at the end of the WWII. He wasn't in direct combat. He had small kids that he had to feed. That's all I know.IP: Logged |

Oh cool, 2 points for Aries  Aquarius rising would put MC in Scorpio only within a 15 minutes window. I go by Scorpio, Capricorn, Aries being good options for law enforcement career. But who knows... maybe that was just a way to earn money. Sun square Pluto gives that kind of a drive. Natal chart has a lot of Pisces, Aquarius, Mercury trine Neptune etc, which are sensitive placements. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! IP: Logged |

Oh ok. I see. That's often tricky because all one can do is guesswork based off of appearances. And i suck at that🤣 But there are Astrologers who can guess the Asc based off of physical appearance alone. 🤔 Unfortunately Kannon McAfee hasn't been here in a while.
