I don`t think the Sun has directly to do with your face like the Rising because most Water Rising signs i have seen no matter the Sun has had a "Watery" look to them. Their eyes tends to look emotional or soft looking especially with Pisces and Cancer Rising while Scorpio Rising tends to have a more serious guarded look. They don`t "look" like their extroverted even when they may be the most extroverted person around. Pisces and Cancer Rising might look like they are sweeter than what they really are and Scorpio Rising might look meaner than what they really are. So when someone gets to know them people might get surprised by their more extroverted Fire personalities. IP: Logged |

The way I understand your question, this is what I asked myself: For people with a fiery Sun, how does it feel to have a watery ASC, since fire and water can be diametrically incompatible? Does the ascendant pour water over the fiery Sun, dimming its light somehow? And in reverse, does the fiery Sun imparts some fire to the ascendant? Speaking of personal experience and observation of people I have known intimately, I would say that the ASC colors every area and planet in the chart. The ASC is like the filter through which the planets express themselves, so a Fire Sign with water rising makes for a complex personality, but also one that has to maintain a constant balance between fire and water. Too much fire and water dries up. Too much water and fires smolders.... IP: Logged |

I have Pisces rising, and Sun in Sagittarius.I do show both sides of these signs. I need my alone time, because I have moments of such sensitivity. But, it could also be a sign of depression. I definitely do feel more connected to my Sun in Sagittarius. But my Pisces sure as heck exists. It also helps that I have Mercury and another planet in Sagittarius. However, I'm also like partly Saturnian/Capricornian, so that's another face of the equation. ------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

I have observed this too. Water Asc( esp Pisces/Cancer) look so sweet and perhaps even get many passes/ have their more aggressive tendencies ignored, because of their disarming exterior. Moon and Jupiter are two planets not exactly renowned for their aggression. The Moon is passive and Jupiter is jovial. So there is a tendency for them to look non threatening or kind ( this without even doing anything to suggest that they are) This is different from Scorpio and ♈ rising. Mars rules these Asc and I find that with both ,there can be a tendency towards frowning or having bushy eyebrows( (which suggests secrecy or being defensive in as far as others experiencing them is concerned) So people tend to respond to them a little differently- either perceiving them as more "menacing", "mean" or aggressive. This even if they aren't necessarily like that at all most times. Asc in Water with Sun in fire ( save for Asc in Scorpio) appears "harmless". This often conceals their inner fiery nature which can catch others offguard with its assertion and even intense aggression. An example of this is actor Paul Rudd(Asc in ♋ with Sun in ♈ . When he starred in "Ant Man", people were skeptical as they didn't quite pictire him as an "action hero"(Something associated with more fiery planets like Sun/Mars rising). But people forget that Paul does have planets in Aries. He can be impatient and the type to be irritable. But this is likely going to be overlooked as he appears like "such a nice guy"(Asc ♋ . Another example is "everybody's favorite gangster" Asc in ♋, Leo Sun Robert De Niro. Even as he plays bad characters, we think him worth redeeming or "cool". We find ourselves cheering for his side. And Martin Scoresese has said that he casts Robert in movies a lot as he is "such a nice guy" and this niceness translates so well onscreen, that he can even make an unlikeable character likeable.🤷🏿 Now contrast this with ♈ Asc, Sun in Pisces Shaquille O'Neal whom( if you didn't know his profile) would look very menacing - given his tall stature and big features. Nor would you expect a bear hug from business tycoon Richard Branson(♌ Asc, Sun in Cancer) just by looking at him. I think Asc in Water are the type that you feel comfortable with asking for directions, finding your lost cat or helping you escort the elderly. Fire Asc look like the type that you can ask to call others out in a family meeting, stand up to the law enforcement who is trying to intimidate you OR guard an important object (as security) when it enters a public domain. # not to be left out. But Air Asc are often good looking. Or look like someone pleasant to joke around with or share an inside joke. Save for Aquarius(Ruled by Saturn) who often looks restrictive and unfriendly. They can look very different though when they smile. Earth Asc often look like the type that you'd hire to deal with people's financial assets or convince people to invest in a certain thing with their money. Earth has a tendency of looking very trustworthy and skilled in what they are doing (even when a novice). They earn other's respect very easily and can be the type to run for public office (this especially when air is the Moon). IP: Logged |

No matter where the Sun is, a fire rising person (Aries, Leo or Sagg rising ) is going to come out as fiery, that will be the first impression you get of that person. Then later, when you get to know them better, their watery Sun (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) may show itself more. Look at the house position of the Sun. It will either be in the 4th house, the 8th house or the 12th house of fire rising, and the house serves as indication of where the watery Sun will be felt and expressed by the native.

Do you have Saturn aspecting your Ascendant or personal planets within a 0-4 degree orb? IP: Logged |
