Here it is, another birthday, another worry about my SR chart. I was told by someone on another astrology forum that I need to be careful this year because I have the star Algol very present in my chart, especially on my Venus, which will be at 26° Taurus. Y’all, 2025 kicked my ass to put it ever so lightly and now I have to deal with this Algol news. The lord knows, I don’t need anymore struggle or pain in my life. All the while I’ve been working had to get on my feet. I literally feel I cannot catch a break. I cannot afford to travel for my birthday because, yeah, my financial situation is not the best right now, but if I could, I’d get on a plane tomorrow to avoid this SR. It’s also not helping I’ve been really not so great things about it online. I wish I had more clarity on this. Can anyone shed any light on this? I’d be most grateful. I guess I’m just trying to feel better about it. I want to post my SR for 2026, but I’m having difficulties, sorry about that. Thank you. IP: Logged |

I would take a deep breath if I were you, and exhale.I just did an AI search, and this is what it said for Algol conjunct natal Venus: quote: Despite its dark symbolism, modern astrologers interpret Algol as a source of intensity, transformation, and confrontation with the shadow self, rather than literal doom. When a personal planet like Venus is conjunct Algol in the natal chart, the energy of beauty, love, and values becomes fused with themes of danger, taboo, and profound change.
Of course, this is for natal charts, not specifically for SR charts, but personally, I don't stress about SR charts. I honestly am not convinced how helpful they are, I used to get mine done by astrologers many years ago and I cannot report having been helped by them in any ways. But that's just me. Maybe someone can chime in with better advice. IP: Logged |

Hello Belage2! ❤️ I did tons of research too and with AI. Seems like all everyone says of it is it’s a “demon star” or is the absolute worst degree in astrology history, the best goes on. But if you think it doesn’t apply to SR charts, I could only hope that’s true. I was happy to see my SR Venus in her own planet, and the 1st house, in which I like; that being said, I wish I can get a really extensive SR reading that shed more light on the subject. IP: Logged |

Same as Belage2, as I expressed in another thread, I wouldn’t worry about solar returns. In my experience, SR readings never helped me nor made any sense. My view is that transits are what really matters. And even then, why doom and gloom. I personally only focus on main planets and sometimes Chiron for transits (it depends, only if it is significant in the natal chart). IP: Logged |

Hello Frida! <3 This rings true, because I had good SR placements for 2025 and it ended up being one of the worst years of my life so far, next to 2010. I damn nearly lost everything. And I'm still trying to get back on my feet. The only thing I really pay attention to is the house of my SR sun, which was in the 4th house last year and I dealt with ALOT of 4th house themes in 2025 for better or worse. IP: Logged | |
