When you think of a "masculine" sign, which ones come to mind for you?

The only one I could think about was Aries.

But according to AI:
In astrology, the masculine signs are the Fire and Air elements, which are considered active, projective, and extroverted energies. These signs are traditionally associated with "doing" rather than "being," focusing on action, logic, and external expression.

The six masculine zodiac signs are:

Aries (Fire)
Gemini (Air)
Leo (Fire)
Libra (Air)
Sagittarius (Fire)
Aquarius (Air)

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

That's half of the zodiac. The question becomes, are women born in half of the zodiac more masculine? And by extension, are men born in the other half of the zodiac more feminine?

Personally, I can't answer for the 6 signs. And "sorta mannish" is not really saying much.

But I did notice that women that have an Aries Sun and PLUS at least one other personal planet in Aries tend to have faces that are a little more sharp, they seem to be a little more fiery and more forward in the way they dress, look, go about their ways in life, and they are less apologetic about their appearance and their actions than other signs. They tend to exhibit more self-confidence, and also seem to be less concerned with being or appearing feminine. It's like they are saying, i know I am a woman and I don't have to play feminine games to be a woman.

List of celebrities that fit that bill:

Keira Knightley who has Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Aries.

Lady Gaga with Sun and Venus in Aries

Celine Dion with Sun and Moon in Aries.

Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) has an Aries Sun, Aries Moon, and Aries Rising

Sarah Jessica Parker who has Sun and Venus in Aries.

Mariah Carey has Sun in Aries and Venus in Aries.

im female and have Saturn. on my dc, 8th. house in caprrircorn.

I like that. energy in men. I feel that's how men should be. to me that is what masculine.

the 'masculine signs' seem young and childish (all about. fun etc) and their lack. of serioussneses makes makes me view them as more feminineee

By that , i assume you are not referring to looks? Because no woman wants to be called "mannish". Ever.🤣

What i have noticed with masculine sign women( including Moon, Venus there) is that they tend to want to be seen as more than just the secular definition of "women" has been reduced to i.e. "i can't do it alone". "I need help". "I am too weak" etc.

So there is a tendency for them to want to balance both aspects of their nature i.e. be feminine. But definitely not be meek, mild and passive.

Infact, it may come more naturally to them to be expressive in a masculine way -whether this is getting along better with men, taking part in male activities or intergrating a masculine persona in dress or mannerisms etc.

Now i don't mean that masculine sign women are butch looking, tin soldier walking, gob spitting , bra-hating, jean wearing types. No.

That is a media image created to discourage women from integrating their masculine side with their feminine( which is also similar to the deep fear men have about men wearing dresses).

This image is drenched in sexism and even homophobia. And it is meant to separate women from intergrating with their inner masculine i.e "don't try to do male things ladies-lest you turn into men and thus become unattractive to the very men you want to marry/have relations with" etc.

The narrative is that if you are inclined towards being more masculine .Then it is better to be like Angelina Jolie. And less like Rosie O'Donell. More tennis long legged player than javelin thrower or body builder🤷🏿

Because whilst the former still feeds the fantasies of men or patriarchy and is within their radar, the latter doesn't entertain them. Or even cares to.

So masculine sign women may have a (if you will) insecurity or preoccupation with being feminine(the same preoccupation feminine sign men have with being seen as masculine). And can thus exaggerate that feminine expression too (like they are in drag).

They may wear too much makeup, have their skirts be way too provocative, bat their eyelids way too hard or flirt too aggressively etc. Things that exaggerate the feminine essence because they are trying to enact it(incept-which is masculine) instead of "being" it(reflect-which is feminine).☝🏿

Notice the aggressive sexual facial expressions of Megan Fox(Sun ♉,Moon ♌ ? The girly whispering seductive voice of Marilyn Monroe(Sun in ♊,Moon in ♒ ? The flirty eyes of Angelina Jolie(Sun in ♊/Moon in ♈ ? etc.

Is it a wonder that most (if not a majority of sex symbol women throughout the ages) have masculine signs as part of their big 3?

That's because femininity is perceived by them as something to be projected outward (when in actuality , its more an inward thing). And therefore it is seen as "bold" and "eye catching" to men.

They will often do "masculine" things or be attracted to "masculine" associated forms of expressions i.e. ride bikes, take part in extreme sports or majority of activities traditionally associated with men etc.

Some masculine women will tend to "lead" the relationship somehow i.e. be seen to be the one who wears the pants etc. because masculine energy is by nature inceptive.

^^^ speaking of Angelina Jolie, she is a Gemini and today happens to be her birthday.

She is not Aries Sun, but she has Moon in Aries conjunct Mars and Jupiter. So she has a strong Arian energy.

Great explanations

All but one planet in masculine signs here, incl. Asc - I'm a woman. Feminine for sure. Masculine energy is more about how we approach the world. Active vs passive, risk aversion, and things like that. In that sense, I have a lot of masculine traits, but that doesn't make a woman "manish", nor a man "womanish" if he has feminine energy in the chart.

I’m an Aries Sun female. I feel like I’m a dude with a vagina. Or if I am in touch with my feminine side that I am like Bender from that episode of Futuroma where he becomes a woman.

I also really do believe that I have a masculine soul that chose to experience this life as a woman who likes ****.
