Interesting.I do agree that the Asc is affected by aspects to it. That these can even alter its original expression.
With that being said however, I think the Ascendant( being even more sensitive to time of birth)is more closely related to self expression than even the Moon.
If the CEO is the Sun, management reflects the CEO(Moon). But its the staff or workers(Asc) who have to do the everyday grind or solve challenges as they are confronted, who know the environment of work more intimately. And thus are constantly responding to it.
The Ascendant is about assertion and responding (Asc/Dsc axis). Science says that if you exert a force \(F\) on an object, the object will simultaneously exert an equal and opposite force of magnitude \(F\) right back on you.
So i see the Asc as that force. Where the relationship with the environment is at. Where the physical body through its existence interacts in, around and through it.
All this sounds esoteric I know. But I notice that ♈ Asc people tend to be concerned with asserting themselves in the moment. This more so than Moon and Sun in ♈.
So their responses are seldom without feeling or some sort of intensity investment- this whether eating food or closing the door.It's done with enthusiasm
or vigour(Mars)
Detachment is tough because as each moment comes,♈ sees it as an opportunity to assert. Hence they can cone across super passionate or aggressive( depending on who is on the receptive end of their assertions).
With ♉, the moment is precious too. But here the opportunity is to savour and lengthen it by slowing down and not missing it or fumbling it away.
So with ♉ Asc, absolute presence is key i.e. talking slowly, making eye contact, feeling the texture of the atmosphere around you whilst also being focused in the here.
This can make ♉ Asc seem very grounded and rich in giving attention and exclusivity. Hence most people feel that they can come across "down to earth".
And that's because they are. They are committed to being in the reality of the moment. And what all of that can bring.
This can be something as mundane as packing the laundry into the cupboard.It's done with care and finesse as if indulging in the fragrance of the detergent used in the laundry. And the revitalized softness of the fabrics.
Even when cooking a meal, the meat is handled in such a way that slicing each piece of the bone, looks like art or is given a little bit of care.
Both ♈ Asc and ♉ Asc can come across intense. But there is a distinction. One is fast and flashes past because of being direct and swift(♈ ) whilst the other is slower and seems to plod(♉ )- giving off a more soothing and even caressing effect.
