D;
I have been wanting to anser this since you posted it, but I was too lazy to go and look for the song online. Actually, I saw it on my cousins myspace. So bare (bear) with me, cuz I could be completely wrong,on the artist and title, and whether or not its new LOL! But I think it is, by Rehab and I think it is called "1980" BIG emphasis on the I think.

DfD, funny you said that you never saw the movie or read the book... Hayley Williams wrote this song specifically for "Twilight"

This is my newest favorite and it HAS EVERYTHING to do with the "Twilight" movie and the book series.
I read all of them last week and I can't seem to get enough of this story!

Eyes on Fire - Blue Foundation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOp5HxdhKIo

Lyrics:
I’ll seek you out,
Flay you alive
One more word and you won’t survive
And I’m not scared of your stolen power
I see right through you any hour

I won’t soothe your pain
I won’t ease your strain
You’ll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain

I’m taking it slow
Feeding my flame
Shuffling the cards of your game
And just in time
In the right place
Suddenly I will play my ace

I won’t soothe your pain
I won’t ease your strain
You’ll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain

Eyes on fire
Your spine is ablaze
Felling any foe with my gaze

And just in time
In the right place
Steadily emerging with grace

Felling any foe with my gaze
Steadily emerging with grace
Felling any foe with my gaze
Steadily emerging with grace

Oh, yeah, and this one also:

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsp3_a-PMTw

Lyrics:
Oh baby dont you know I suffer?
Oh baby can you hear me moan?
You caught me under false pretenses
How long before you let me go?

You set my soul alight
You set my soul alight

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the 'supermassive'

I thought I was a fool for no-one
Oh baby I'm a fool for you
You're the queen of the superficial
And how long before you tell the truth

You set my soul alight
You set my soul alight

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the 'supermassive'

Supermassive black hole
Supermassive black hole
Supermassive black hole

Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

(You set my soul alight)
Glaciers melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

Supermassive black hole
Supermassive black hole
Supermassive black hole

Yay Yin!

love twiilight! I've only read the first two so far. But I've watched the dvd many times, and my daughter said, "we should go and get that soundtrack Mom." yep. Think I will do that.

Ha Gypsee, I considered starting a thread on the "Twilight" series but then I'm not a raving 13 year old anymore, or am I?
I wonder if this book appeals to all Saggies like it appeals to us?

Sorry, DfD, don't mean to change the subject.

'Aint No Rest For The Wicked'
by Cage The Elephant

I was walking down the street when out the corner of my eye, I saw a pretty little thing approaching me.
She said I never seen a man, who looks so all alone, could you use a little company?
If you pay the right price, your evening will be nice, or you can go and send me on my way, I said your such a sweet young thing, why'd you do this to yourself?
She looked at me and this is what she said.

There ain't no rest for the wicked, money don't grow on trees, I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed, there ain't nothing in this world for free.
I know I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could, oh no there ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good.

Not even 15 minutes later, after walking down the street, when I saw the shadow of a man creep out of sight, then he swept up from behind, put a gun up to my head, he made it clear he wasn't looking for a fight, he said give me all you've got, I want your money not your life, if you try to make a move I wont think twice, I told him you can have my cash, but first you know I've got to ask, what made you want to live this kind of life?

He said there aint no rest for the wicked, money don't grow on trees, I got bills to pay I got mouths to feed aint nothing in this world for free.
I know I can't slow down, I can't hold back though you know I wish I could oh no there ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good.

Now a couple hours past, and I was sitting in my house, the day was winding down and coming to an end, so I turned on the TV, and flipped it over to the news, and what I saw I almost couldn't comprehend, I saw a preacher man in cuffs taking money from the church, he stuffed his bank account with righteous dollar bills but even still I can't say much cause I know were all the same, oh yes we all seek out to satisfy those thrills.

You know there ain't no rest for the wicked, money don't grow on trees, we got bills to pay we got mouths to feed ain't nothing in this world for free.
We can't slow down, we can't hold back though you know we wish we could. you no there aint no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good.

'Little Bit of Red'
by Serena Ryder

Ooooh

Hey you say you want to start over again
like i ever wanted it to be any different.
I've been watching all your colors fade to blue
said you'd come back like I'd want you to want you to
stop pretending everything's all right.

Oh baby blue oh baby blue
come here I'm gonna smear another color over you
get out of bed you little sleepy head your black
and white needs a little bit of red.
your black and white needs a little bit of red.

Oooh

Couldn't handle pressure life had put you through
thought you might have bit a little more than you could chew.
no i don't believe it when you say i will make it up to you
said you'd come back didn't want you to want you to
stop pretending everything's all right.

Oh baby blue oh baby blue
come here I'm gonna smear another color over you
get out of bed you little sleepy head
your black and white needs a little bit of red.
your black and white needs a little bit of red.

Baby blue oh
Baby blue oh

Oh baby blue oh baby blue
come here I'm gonna smear another colour over you
get out of bed you little sleepy head your black
and white needs a little bit of red.
your black and white needs a little bit of red.

My new song is not exactly latest off the charts. But still pretty new IMO.
I am really not sure why I like it. It must be the subtly catchy tune. Oh yeah, and it's in-your-face positivity.

Lucky - Jason Mraz.
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky oh my, baby I'm trying
Yeah I hear you in my dreams
I hear your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Oooohhhhoohhhhohhooohhooohhooohoooh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I wait for you I promise you, I will

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music, fell the air
I put a flower in your hair
And though the breeze is through trees ???
Move so pretty you're all I see
Let the world keep spinning round
You hold me right here right now

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

I wouldn't call it a favourite, really, but I've had this one stuck in my head, since last week, when I heard it on MySpace... I like its cheery sound.

Swans, by Camera Obscura:

(On MySpace, it keeps skipping to the next sing, halfway through.)

its new to you

NIRVANA

"old age"
(Kurt's home solo acoustic 4-track version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF2Ek9kSOuU&feature=related

(lyrics are approximated)

And I am framed
It's a fire
Our house is gone
and I refrain
are you God
are you God
Your little boy
his knotted fingers meet the floor
And now like a baby he ignores
And you walk like a baby
free spin flowers beneath your ray
Be silent a bit and I will sing
The sea infront of me away
And I am now a baby

Keep it down, do our last wishes
One more high and I'll feed my servants
Someday I have to find my way to something
It's not hard to believe my service
Come inside of her inner circles
Someday I will hide away sober

She seems to read minds
And I'm dead dumb and blind
Made a friend I could use
She's the same

Old Age

Some are killed and some are wanted
Some were kind and I feigned my service
Someday I won't find my way sober
This old fairy believes my servants
One more ounce and awake my servants
Someday I wind my way to something

She sees too many hands
and I'm dead dumb and blind
face to face in the mirror
we survived

Old Age
Old Age
Old Age

it's such a fantasy
you're all weak
come and hide away
i'm beggin to see you

one more high and I'll face my service
coming down to relieve my servants
someday I will know my way to monday
secondary but I fake my service
one more high and I won't be sh!tfaced
someday I will allow my way to sunday

She seems to remind us
when I'm dead, dumb and blind
where's the frame I use
Jesus saves

Old Age
Old Age
Old Age

Jesus Saves

Old Age..

Later Version, with the band:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRFYdtC5IuE&feature=related

(lyrics approximated)

one more day to complete my service
one more high to decay my nervous
wondering how i'll ever find my way sober

one more debt to complete my suburb
one more time here to find my servant
one more day to find my way then its over

she said it would do me proud
and i'll never let her down
we can bring in the news
leave the soul

all for you
all for you
all for you

one more bed could you bring my supper
one more down in the finest suburb
one more day and i'll find my way somewhere

i'm not high, could you date my cover
no more beer and have you seen my mother
i'm not dead, can you find my wig,
its over

she seemed to read minds
and i know I let her down
bring the food out to you
eat it soon

old age
old age
old age

just you need
you read, you pick
Hmmm
who do you think you knew
Hmmmm

one more day to complete my circuit
one more high and i'll find my mother
dont really care if i find my way sober

one more doubt and i'm afraid i'll suffer
i couldnt hear anything i muttered
one more day and i'll find my way
its over

he seems to read minds
and i know we're out of time
bring the flame here with you
dream the same thing i do
be the thing i'll remind
take a load off a man
breathe the shame over you
leave the lie

old age
old age
old age

"Show Me What I'm Looking For"
by Carolina Liar

Wait, I'm wrong
Should have done better than this
Please, I'll be strong
I'm finding it hard to resist
So show me what I'm looking for

CHORUS
Save me, I'm lost
Oh lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for…oh lord

Don't let go
I've wanted this far too long
Mistakes become regrets
I've learned to love abuse
Please show me what I'm looking for

CHORUS
Save me, I'm lost
Oh lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for…oh lord

Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for

CHORUS
Save me, I'm lost
Oh lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Just save me from being confused
Wait, I'm wrong
I can't do better than this
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for…oh lord

here you go

Champagne lyrics

I need you
Here with me
Don't take this
Too far now

Your eyes seem
So lonely
Inside you
Feel like you lost your mind

Could've been the champagne
The champagne
Could've been the cocaine
The cocaine
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through
Through

And I miss you
All day now
I'm screaming
Inside out

Don't tempt me
Cause I'll break you
I don't need this
And I'll burn this whole thing down

Could've been the champagne
The champagne
Could've been the cocaine
The cocaine
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through

It could've been a bad day
A bad day
Could've been the real way
The real way
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through

I wish you
Would take from me
Everything
I cannot be

With eyes so blind
You cannot see
That I won't ever leave

Could've been the champagne
The champagne
Could've been the cocaine
The cocaine
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through

It could've been a bad day
A bad day
Could've been the real way
The real way
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through

Could've been the champagne
The champagne
Could've been the cocaine
The cocaine

Could've been the champagne
The champagne
Could've been the cocaine
The cocaine
Could've been the way you looked at me
That told me we were through
Through
We were through
Now we're through
