There is a difference between looking on the bright side of life and believing whatever makes you happy. There is a correct way, as well as an incorrect way, to think more positively. Wishful thinking is delusional, but hopeful thinking is healthy. We can see the light without denying the dark. We can find our way without imagining lights. There is light enough to guide us if we look for it honestly. IP: Logged |

I like that one, kind of an optimistic but realistic vibe.

valus, you get it. you go striaght to the heart of the matter once again. without recognising darkness, what then is light? with out rain, how would we know what a blessing a sunny day is? to deny the existance of either is living without truth. hope with open eyes is a beautiful thing belief in one without acknowledging the other is just living with blinders on. there is room for light and darkness to co-exist, in fact without it, we wouldn't know one from the other. there are times that i love you for what you say / type.

I'm just grateful if I get any of these too, i.e. being realistically positive, or having the delusional type. I always say that I don't need to be perfect to speak of perfection, and so yeah, we always look for the real thing... but I am never sure if I am ever there. So, I just let it be whatever it is because to contemplate whether I am right or wrong to feel a certain way, or whether I am really feeling a certain way, usually puts me in a bad mood because I can never come to an answer. So, I've given up on that. I always say time will tell, and it usually does. If my feelings are "wrong" as far as people are concerned, I always say that I'll evolve to feel the way they feel, or visa versa. I just let it be, that's my point. And, I'm speaking about what I do personally. I might one day learn to differentiate as the rest of you. I'm not that bad though. I am probably being very hard on myself. And just for interest's sake, it's easy to be in delusional darkness for me, but whether it is delusional or not, it still dark, so it usually makes no difference. IP: Logged |

Thanks, peeps. "Peeps" as in people, not "peeps" as in: Interesting thoughts, Unmoved. ------
The good thing about not being perfect is that we can always perfect ourselves.
