Sometimes I find myself imagining how my kids are going to act, who they'd be(if I find myself ever so blessed with this gift), and what they'd look like...then I wondered if they'd be anything the way I pictured, so my question is, were your children the way you pictured? did they look the way you thought they would look like? Ive always pictured a dark hair boy with colorful eyes, and i always felt my kid(s) would be intellectuals. its a imagine that sticks with me a lot. Just curious here.IP: Logged |

Hey Write I've tried to avoid expectations and preconceived notions with my son, so that he can be himself. He doesn't know who he is yet, and neither do I -- we're both excited to find out This morning he wanted to cook his own breakfast so he made himself scrambled eggs, except for..... (**calling from the kitchen**) "Mom, can you c'm'ere please, I need some adult supervision" When he was done, he said, "Mom I think I'd like to be a chef." I said, "Wonderful! You'd probably always have a job because people need to eat." And we discussed culinary arts colleges for a bit. I was so proud of my little Venus in Taurus!!! I hoped when he was born that he would take after me in the brains department (instead of his father ;-)) and he has -- he's quick, and he's bright -- what a relief!! His vocabulary is phenomenal and I adore his creativity -- he constantly surprises me with his ideas and opinions I had dreams of having a son long before CJ came into my life..... I dreamed about my pregnancy, and I dreamed of giving birth to him, I always knew I would have a son..... IP: Logged |

i never really wondered what they would look like, but my son looks just like his dad and my girls look just like me..only prettier. my first daughter is really smart and focused, i have no idea where she gets her math smarts. my second daughter is fiercly independant and an awesome person. my son acts more like his dad and is very sensitive on the inside. they are like me in that they live life thier way and dont give a fig what anyone thinks. I dreamed of mine too. But in the dream I was underwater looking up, and they were above water looking down. I saw one with very curly hair, and I have that. The rest was too blurry to really see.But I thought since I'm dark, with dark hair and eyes that they would be too. I was remembering dark being a dominant gene from some class in high school. Their Dad has blue eyes and red hair. So the first one came out dark haired and dark eyed. She's physically me, and tempered like her Dad. The second one came out blonde and blue eyed. He is tempered like me. And the third one came out green eyed and strawberrish hair, kinda turning now to an ashy color. I was looking at her chart last night, and she has an interesting one! She's a Leo, but major water there. This got me thinking alot about parent child synastry, but I don't have the tech savvy to produce and compare all those charts! P.s. They all have a smart-@ssed, sarcastic attitude, tho. hmmmmm. Nature vs. nurture??? IP: Logged |

I never dreamed about having children when I was young, but when I got married, knew we would have one or two....I have one son, like Zala...He definitely has always had his own mind, likes and dislikes...but he's funny and good with people...can make them laugh and size up a person within 5 minutes of meeting someone...very sharp. He's been a blessing since he tucked his little head on my shoulder in the wee hours of the morning right after he was born. It felt so right. IP: Logged |

I've dreamt of a couple of kids throughout the years that were my own and loved them so dearly in the dream I was sad when i woke up and found out it wasnt real. Will they ever enter the picture? I'm not sure. I can see it going both ways and might be open to it in the future. Depending on what or who the future brings. Right now I dont see it happening and I'm okay with that. If it did, I know I'd be a great mom and happy being one too. I think my kids would be artsy/musician types (Venus Gemini 5th house). IP: Logged |

I think those dreams are prophetic, and will come true for both of you.IP: Logged |

I don't myself want kids, and I actually think I'm infertile - however, if I ever had kids they would probably have a strong *blonde* bias (as I am blonde, and the *blonde*-ness has been passed down through opposite sexes in each generation of our family: i.e. great-grandfather - grandmother - father - ME.). So, if I had a son, chances are he would look like me. Both the men with whom I've had longer-term relationships have had olive skin and Jewish/Middle Eastern noses (don't ask me why, I just go for that type) - which also stand a good chance of being inherited. However, my mum's family all had black hair and blue/green eyes - so there's no telling what would be thrown into the mix!!! With kids of either sex, I'd like them to be aware of good gender roles. I.e. boys being very masculine, girls very feminine. Perhaps because those are the roles my parents consciously or unconsciously showed towards me, and therefore the ones I am most comfortable with? At the same time, I'd like them to be strong and moral people, with good practical and social skills, healthy eaters, aware of the world around them, NOT tied to their computer day and night IP: Logged |

starkiss1 - I hear ya With my first daughter, I dreamt of her, she was a green eyed girl with brown curly hair and a very cute face. That's exactly how she turned out. She's 19 now. With my second daugther, I was pretty sure she would be fair haired, and always something about the eyes, but didn't know what. She is only 8 months but does have very fine blond hair, and the eyes...oh the eyes...very intense, like an old weary soul, and deep slate blue..bluer than mine. I can hardly wait to see how she turns out...but at the same time, don't really want her to grow up too fast. I enjoy her so much...I don't want her to have to take on the big bad world any time soon. But when she does, I'm pretty sure she'll have it by the horns. She's a Sag. with Aries rising, mars conjunct sun, and a 4th house Cancer moon. Very well appointed chart, I dare say. IP: Logged | |
