Remember the anti-capitalist riots around 2000? Wasn't the head protestor living of his trust fund? That still makes me laugh, but it could be warped rememberance, it sounds about right though.

dunno what happened to my post earlier...i remember when the wharfs were first taken over and transformed by squatters into terrific live-work spaces. unfortunately the investors caught wind of it, the law about squatting changed, and presto! exclusive properties for the over indulged...i wonder if john freeman harris has any ideas on this one...if a trust fund funds protests then it's not all bad, right? which reminds me of valus thread, and the whole concept of money being only as good as the hands it's in...
