It was reading his book, SMART BUT FEELING DUMB in 2003 that made realize that I was misdiagnosed and that psychiatrists mistook my Dyslexic,Dyspraxic speech difficulties for psychotic speech patterns. He understood that neuro-divergent symptoms are mistook for psychological problems/psychiatric disorders. He had empathized with what I went through. When I said that psychiatrists told me that I slight thought disorder, he replied "They are the ones with the slight thought disorder."

I strongly recommend his books for understanding how neuro-divergent conditions work. He explains the processing difficulties in great detail. He even understands how many of us can have problems with eye contact with others because of coordination,sensory-integration difficulties.
