ah beauty, the most obvious and fleeting of virtuesbeauty, the worst ego investment you can make, worse than a hedge fund full of adjustable rate mortgages IP: Logged |

Speaking of which...I have to get my camera out, and take a picture of a tree branch in the shape of a hummingbird for T sometime. I pass it every day.IP: Logged |

Cool clip. I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever in my whole life, because I have classic Aries rising eyebrows Today, I have woken up with swollen eyes. One is so swollen, there's swelling ON the swelling. The clinician massaged around my eyes like she was squeezing juice from a lemon. NEVER massage around a middle-aged woman's eyes with a G-force of 5. I now look about 60 years old!!! IP: Logged |

thanks katatonic - a senior staff member gave me a beautiful complimentary lymphatic massage around my eyes to reduce the swelling, plus gave me cooling creams. She has also said to go back in a month and she will give me another complimentary treatment. The swelling has gone down, but I have burns that I hope go away too!! The price of beauty!!! I just wanted to tidy up my Aries rising eyebrows!!! It's a dangerous world out there!!! IP: Logged |

I went to take a picture of the hummingbird tree today, but one of my Navy friends showed up at the house right before I was going to leave. By the time we went over to it we'd missed the good light, and I couldn't get a good shot, because I hadn't brought a tripod. Maybe tomorrow. I was relieved that my friend saw it immediately when it came into view. Doesn't require much imagination to see it. IP: Logged |

koiI've never heard of a response like that to eyebrow waxing before. That seems so severe. Was it something that they used or the technique? Sounds quite brutal. Not right at all. IP: Logged |
