What are you looking for sympathy? Well, you know how it goes. **** *** then! There. Abusive language. Now I think I've broken all of the LL rules. Should do a quick count. Hang on. IP: Logged |

I'm not convinced that any people with children actually get any decent sleep, unless they have a sleeping chamber somewhere away from the kids. Oh, like, in another country or planet.IP: Logged |

I feel normal. Half-way through an audiobook called "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. Stats say 40% of 1st marriages, 60% of 2nd marriages and 75% of 3rd marriages end in divorce. I'm assuming this is US stats only. Or is this also the trend in other western countries? So, the saying "practice makes perfect" does not apply to marriages. Anyone read this book? IP: Logged |

60% chance for me then, as wife #2. I'll bleed the b@stard dry. Letting it all out this morning so I don't take it out on the kids and the family. Thanks, ladies. IP: Logged |

GW, it doesn't say anything about marriage after the 3rd. This book reminds me of what we want/need from our partners based on our Moon/Venus-Mars/DC signs. Maybe I should start a thread about this in Astro 2.0 when I'm done reading. I checked how readers rated it on Amazon, 531 five-star ratings, which I think is high. The 5 Love Languages are: 1. Words of Affirmation 2. Quality Time 3. Receiving Gifts 4. Acts of Service 5. Physical Touch IP: Logged |

I'm thinking 2 thru 5 are the same, and 1 can happen during. <:IP: Logged |

supposedly the main reasons second and later marriages fail more often are:a) people often have children (and children's other parents) to complicate the picture. b) it's habit forming! if you've given up once it starts to seem like the natural thing to do.. however both my father and my exhusband clung to their second marriages as if the world would end if they gave up a second time IP: Logged |

I wish sleep wasn't such a problem subject. It is for me, too, more often than I'd prefer.I hope you get some caffeine in your system, or more sleep. IP: Logged |

bluemoon - even with very little sleep, you've managed to make me laugh re divorce. However, on a different note, I hope you are feeling better after your close call on the roads. (Was it a slow driver? They can be very dangerous). Okay, so you flicked the birdie after a bad night's sleep, and then you almost have a close call. I think you really need a super charge of positive thoughts, a nice cup of tea, a funny afternoon movie, and a surprise gift from Mr BM (and that's just for starters). Sending you love.......

bmSeems I've taken a leaf out of your book. Virtually no sleep all night. Then got up this morning feeling like I'm coming down with something. Blah! A nap after lunch helped. It's always the way though - it's when I stop - it catches up with me. It's school holidays here and nowhere to be, nothing to focus on, so body says I'm going to shut down for a while because you haven't been heeding the warning signs and pushing too hard. I'm sure that many people are familiar with this pattern. Maybe it's a Pluto and Uranus in 6th house thing? IP: Logged |

I feel young and alive and blooming today. Just finished doing yoga, after several months of not doing it. I used to be able to press my face against my legs when I would do this in the past, but today I just couldn't. Ouch! But I'm happy to report that I did this next pose very well. It is one of the most difficult positions to do, so I felt really proud after doing it with complete ease and precision. Yay to me! IP: Logged |

I've decided that next year is going to be my big yoga year. I've done it on and off at home for years, but I've decided that after I finish my course this year, and hopefully get some work really quickly, I'm going to make the time (and have the money) to finally do it properly.IP: Logged |
