It's a shame you can't all see how you really look from the outside. I don't have time in my life for this kind of silliness. p.s with apologies to Zala, Blue Roamer, AG, DD (must be the teacher in you that always keeps you calm), etc

You're welcome. I would miss not coming here in between dull bits of work but then I really don't like it when people get spiteful. IP: Logged |

I've always liked the word BOLLOCKS.I think when people say things that miff me i'm just going to say "BOLLOCKS" and not respond in sort of mature way. IP: Logged |

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that what is happening here is exactly what some were concerned about. I feel a lot of hostility directed toward some people who shared an opinion. It feels so defensive, but why? Live and let live/ if you don't like it don't click on it/etc... these solutions have their merit, but my concern is the ugly feelings that have sprouted up because some people expressed their feelings. I'm not married to my opinion-- I said my piece and maybe someone will care about that and some won't. It's anyone's choice. But the nastiness and ridicule is both upsetting and baffling to me. Am I missing something?

BM,as much as I would like to accept your compliment, I think this time it is not my teacher-being, but the sheer fact that I have been at school, working my butt off all day, and had no time to check into here. But you can be sure now I will. And yes, sometimes coming to LL feels like coming to kindergarten. Sometimes. Not always. And not in regard to all members or threads. Just sometimes.
Where is the fullmoon? It must be around 10 Scorpio - Taurus, so it trines / sextiles my Jupiter exactly, maybe that makes it easier to stay calm. Of course it also squares my Pallas - and I relaly feel some thread lack intellectual stimulation for me. Or not giving the right intellectual stimulation to keep this Aquarius Moon and Pallas interested. IP: Logged |

Having morning tea break. Good time to stop by for a quickie.I don't know why, I like the word "bollocks" too. Very British. We don't really use it here. Not from my experience, anyhow. Some of the other Aussie contingency can correct me on this one though. Another one that I really like and amuses me a great deal is "Sweet FA". I don't know why, again. One of our classmates is from Manchester. He stated recently that he called a lady "an old cow" who interpreted that as being referred to as a "prostitute". Don't know that one either. Sometimes I think I must be naive. IP: Logged |

Good Evening and Bollocks. WARNING: I suspect there are a few under 18s sneaking onto this thread, so watch out. It also gets a cultural warning, this is very British humour. At a push you might like it if you are Australian. http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/45922,arts,roger-mellie-goes-on-im-a-celebrity-ge t-me-out-of-here It's dedicated to Blue Roamer. I'm really not sure he will like it.
It made me laugh yesterday (when I stayed away from the Full Moon madness on here).

It is a true bollock when an opinion is started and it's a tasteless jab.I know it's over, but to defend someone is not a bad thing. To start a topic to have a go at someone is 'not on'. If someone wants to criticize an action of someone in a personal way, then expect an action. I'm not into bullying tactics, subtle or otherwise. I blow whistles. No manners is bollocks.

I see the strategy at play. It's not hard to identify...1. Criticize and call it an opinion. 2. Jab and jeer to make matters worse. 3. Call on the rights of free speech to justify. 4. Call the person emotionally involved a kindergarden attendent. That's bollocks! IP: Logged |
