For me, it is Boney M's song "Rasputin"

"Ra ra Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen, there was a cat that really was gone".

For some reason that song cracks me the hell up and I just cannot stop laughing, proper giggles and everything, for minutes EVERY time I think about it and hear it. This has been going on since about 1978, and that's a long time.

"Ohhhhh those Rrrrrusssians".

when I think of the irony in the myth of midas, and when I remember that it's opp my sun, almost to the minute.

in a word, my stupidity

ok, that's funny in a sort of sad way, and funny in a "funny" way, is when I see a scorp being totally crazy. they've got something that I find so sweet and unthreatening when they enjoy themselves and have fun. that really makes me laugh big time. that makes me feel sooooo good.

also when I'm in family and my youger sis makes jokes and we play idiots together. we just laugh

stupidest thing I ever did? no, I can't tell, too fuking stupid, I'm trying to learn to live with the shame and guilt

I can't count the stupid things I've done. yes, one I remember, I took out some poppers from my pocket on a first date. not the thing to do when you want to impress someone. it makes you look gross. especially when sodomy is not what you enjoy in gay sex. i say DUMB

Pire, I understand, I am so stupid that the only thing I know about Russian history is from that Boney M track.

Poppers, always a bad idea, my friend burnt his face off using them, he had a hole in his cheek the size of a... well a big hole, after he fell asleep and the bottle spilled on him. Dork.

The boys with the wooden spoon sound very kiwi. That is a funny clip - or it's "hard case" as they would say in New Zealand.

What makes me laugh every time???

Watching "Weekend at Bernie's"

yes it's chemicals that are in a little bottle and sold in sex shops over here. you sniff it to get dizzy for a couple of minutes, it makes you temporarily crazy, bringing out the animal side in you for a minute or two. a lot used in the gay community to unhibit you for a few minutes when it comes to being passive. the pain goes away.

Watching grumpy old men. Err, the movie, not the real thing, although that can be humorous too.

I also like catching people singing alone in their car at a stop light. I like this because I do it, and it makes me feel less alone.

Telling old family stories are the best!!!!

One time we were driving through California, in sort of a farmish area. My brother was a teen, and not in any way interested in family vacays. Anyway, he had his headphones on, listening to his thrash metal stuff.

We came upon a strange field of crops, (well strange to us, cuz, we grow mostly corn here) and my Mom said to my stepdad, "what is that?" My stepdad looked and said, "Oh, that is lettuce."

To which then, my brother replied (shouting, no less, over the music) "What the Hell is LEMMUCE?"
OMG
I don't know why that was so funny. I put it down to travelers exhaustion. But my Stepdad had to pull over, we were falling OUT!
My Virgo sun/asc brother was NOT amused at being so obviously ridiculed, but honestly, we thought it was cute. WE STILL tell that story, and He STILL gets mad, which makes it funnier.

*Pire, as far as ridiculous things Scorpio's do? OMG, could write a book on that one. But here is one for ya. My Scorp ex and I were at a friends, having a BBQ 3 summers ago. The lady there was putting peices of corn wrapped in aluminum foil onto the grill. She had her back turned, and her hand out, and we would wrap the corn, and hand them to her. My scorp whipped out his, ehemm, and wrapped it in the foil, and then stuck it where her hand was grabbing for the next peice of corn. One of the funniest things I've ever seen in person.

Bruce Almighty still cracks me up to the point of screaming with laughter. Especially the scene with Steve Carell reading from the teleprompter.

My sides ache after watching it.

Arrested Development.

The one where Lucille gets stoned and runs over a deaf Tobias in her car. Then it crashes into the banana stand, in which Gob is in, in a banana suit, and he gets stuck, so Buster lifts him out with a crane.

That show is so funny.

GW at your Sco friend and your "lemmuce" story.

For me, it's mostly stories and inside jokes with family and friends.

Pop culture wise, there's a scene in "Coming to America" that always makes me laugh. It's when Eddie Murphy's character is looking for a cr@ppy apartment. He's in a dilapidated building talking with the landlord when a man comes falling down the stairs. The landlord says, "Your rent's due, motherfcuka! And don't be pulling that falling down the stairs sh1t on me. Every month, same damn thing." Even typing it makes me laugh. Ahh, the desperation born from poverty, what a comedy goldmine! I grew up with that kinda desperation, so that's probably why it makes me laugh when the callous way it's treated is mocked.

And thanks for the reminder to check out the Arrested Development dvd's. I watched it on tv but missed so many episodes. One of the funniest shows.
