I stir mine clockwise. My partner stirs her coffee anticlockwise. We are both right-handed.I have no idea what this means, other than they are two opposing circular rotations. IP: Logged |

I don`t drink coffee anymore. But I stir my tea anticlockwise, and then sometimes I get this strange urge to stir it clockwise for a moment, but I always end up stirring it anticlockwise. IP: Logged |

A few clockwise followed by equal number in reverse. That goes for any beverage I stir, cocoa and so forth. ------------------ Everyone is a teacher... Everyone is a student... Learning is eternal. }><}}(*>IP: Logged |

actually, I checked, and when I drink an espresso, so in a little "shot" type of cup, I realised a stir it clockwise a couple of times but then started going deep with my spoon to the bottom of the cup to bring the sugar up. you see? like clockwise first, just once or twice, then bottom-up again and again until all the sugar has dissolved. this thoroughness must have something to do with my virgo mars IP: Logged |

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/3322535/Guaranteed-to-put-hair-on-your-chest.html quote: According to the chief of three judges, Bill Kendrew of the Craft Guild of Chef [of] the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship, which takes place every October in Carrbridge, Inverness-shire [,] good porridge depends on how you employ the "spurtle", a stirring stick shaped like half an elongated cricket bail. Its use, he explains, is still surrounded by ancient superstition. "Always stir clockwise,'' he warns. ''Stirring anti-clockwise invokes the Devil."

these are the results of a NOT SO serious survey, with percentages for left-handed and right-handed people http://justinhartman.com/2008/06/20/which-direction-do-you-stir/ the total looks like this it seems that only a minority of coffee drinkers are in favor of the devil, and so the worshippers of GOD are the winners! once again!!! but I wonder if we can consider left-handed person stirring coffee anti-clokwise like right-handed person stirring clokwise. because left-handed are supposed to have their brain work in a "sinthetizing" way. so may be those left-handed stirring anticlockwise have ALREADY come to the conclusion, in a flash second, that the right way was to stir it clockwise, and they also took into account their difference, and so they decide to counter balance it by stirring their coffee anti-clockwise, i.e. in the right direction...? Wow, Pire, you really did think this through! You are a left handed, Libra Mooner? That makes, You, me and Yin. Actually, I just had coffee and I was lost in daydreaming when I realized, that after I stir clockwise, I do some kind of sugar retrieval moves myself. THEN, I noticed, I was drawing letters in my coffee! Today, it was a "W." W=weirdo. IP: Logged |

I stir anything counter clockwiseI am also not a true righthanded person neurologically I had problems with fine motor skills when I was a little kid,and so I had therapy to develop them. Without them,I wouldn't have good use of my hands. I open bottles, cans with my left hand. I prefer open the door with my left hand. I text on my cell phone with my left hand. I have some capability to write with my left hand. If the therapist had trained me to use my left hand too, it's very possible that I would be left-handed. My mother told me that she thought I was going to be ambidextrous because I didn't know which hand to use. I am left ear and left eye dominant. A person that has a dominant ear or eye of a side that is opposite side of the hand that is used is called "cross dominant" or mixed dominant. My mother is also right-handed,left ear dominant, and left eye dominant. she also can write with her left hand. She and I are both mainly picture thinkers ,visualizing things in the minds eye nonstop. don't fit the righthanded stereotypes at all. my late maternal grandfather was left-handed.
therefore, my mother and I are descendants of a lefthanded person. one of my mom's paternal half brothers is left-handed too, and he had problems with stuttering. He is very analytical, being an accountant. Raymond ------------------ "Nothing matters absolutely; the truth is it only matters relatively" - Eckhart Tolle IP: Logged |

Pire,I am right handed, so I stir with my right hand counter-clockwise. Does that mean I am special? Does my Aqua Moon strike again? Glaucus,
I am not a "true" righthanded person either. I think I am mainly righthanded, but sometimes things in the kitchen feel so wrong in my hand, a mixer, or similiar things, and I will constantly change my hands. But maybe that is more due to some imitation, as my Dad is lefthanded. He has no Libra Moon though (his Moon is in Taurus) and he never stirs his coffee, as he drinks it black and sugarfree. I am not sure what moonsigns have to do with handedness. My lefty grandfather had Moon in Pisces like myself. My lefty uncle Eddie has Moon in Aquarius My mom has Moon in Scorpio. My mother told me that my father had problems with dexterity like I did,and he had Moon in Pisces. Raymond
