I need help for my paper due next week.The topic is nurses who view people who think humans are born with evil intentions, inherantly, verses nurses who think people are born inherantly good.... The jist is ovbious and I do not have an issue with my views on this topic, however....I need a couple of references. Any statments...ideas? Thanks t~~ IP: Logged |

What do you mean by references?
Like actual people who had these thoughts?What's your thesis statment going to say, that might help people get an idea of what you are looking for. You could look into religious figures, Mother Teresa and such.
Or you could google the names of those nurses who intentionally killed people. I realize they did that because THEY were nutty, but you might find in their stories someone who did it because they thought the patients were evil. IP: Logged |

thanks gypsee,good leads! was thinking about thomas hobbs vs john locke... but they are too obscure, for what i am thinking of. already put into my paper the potential of karma and some chineese philosophy, just not happy with it yet... thanks!!! IP: Logged |

Pire"everyone has a personal philosophy regarding human anture. How would a nurse with the personal philosophy that humans are born with an inclination toward evil treat patients differently than a nurse with the persoanl philsosphy that humans are born inherantly good? How could thesse persoanl philsosphies impact people's behaviors in other fields or relationships such as parenting, romantic relationships, teaching or being a police officer?" Gypsee and Pire, I have the body, stating the obvious that nurses thinking that people were born evil may not afford fair care, and may think of karmic implications ie: the patient/person deserves his/her illness and the nurse who thinks that patients are born good, would probably be more objective and may go above and beyond in caring for such a patient. I am having trouble finding philosophers, etc that have written work on this subject, and I need atleast one more reference to substantiate my view (instead of my personal off the wall views I can sometimes have.  ) thanks again t~~~ IP: Logged |
