ah! it feels good to listen to some beautiful music. I wanted to thank you amowls for these two bands that I didn't know. I listened to beach house first and to the knife in second. the knife started strangely but I want to investigate their music, thanks again. I haven't had time to listen to more of what's listed here but I will do. IP: Logged |

first of all, thank you all for sharing some beautiful moments. it's a pleasure to know that I enjoy the same music as my dear fellow knowflakes. besides, I get to know plenty of new artists (new to me) teasel, this song is superb. jeff buckley's version is...etheral... thanks. I should be ashamed to say that I didn't know who was Robert Plant although I know led zepplin. however I had never heard of alison krauss. I liked the one you posted so I listened to another of them "black dog" and I enjoyed it. it's a different style that you don't hear much around here. I'm very happy to know it now. node, I'd never heard of John Martyn before, and the tribue to Nick Drake is TBH, I don't know much about Nick Drake, except that he's a famous artist. It must be something from him that touches me in Martyn's song cause the other song you posted by nick drake, northern sky, made me cry. IP: Logged |

teasel pick of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss mixed with the link posted by absinthe made me think of a tune I heard on the radio here. where I am in brittany, they are proud of their celtic'origins. in fact, I'd say that their attachment to the anglo-saxon's culture is wistful..ish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbZ5VU29iv4

peri, I liked the link, I didn't know Sia, thanks for introducing me to her. it's a nice song, and especially the lyrics are beautiful to me. but right now it's music or melodies that evoke the greater feelings in me. IP: Logged |
