"The tone of the Life article contrasts sharply with the hysteria and distortion that the American media would later fan. The article is both fair and detailed, both open-minded and scientific... In the short space of a dozen years in the recent past, from 1947 to 1960, the major indole hallucinogens were characterized, purified, and investigated. It is no coincidence that the subsequent decade was the most turbulent decade in America in a hundred years."
~ Terence McKenna, "Food of the Gods"

Turbulent, yes. Also, the most conscious,
compassionate, and spiritually transformative.

Hofmann...

discovered LSD25
and isolated Psilocybin

Two reasons to celebrate the man.

Okay, back to my research now

Hofmann was disillusioned when his discovery which he wanted to apply to psychiatry was taken out of context and used recreationally.

I am very interested to find out where the boundaries are.

Love the research!

yeah.

there is a lot i could say.

the catholic church
thought it was a mistake
to distribute the Bible,
or to "grant" people
direct access to "God's Word"
without the intercession
of the clergy.
