SAWEET inlays! My epiphone has pearl inlays, i love it.i like jazz, and i like bluegrass, but after an hour of either one, it all kinda sounds the same to me. Pat Benetar did a Jazz album that was pretty good. my favorite off it was, .....I got papers on ya baby. IP: Logged |

the dolphins were cool and the michelanglo finger of God too. speaking of cool tones in a stringed instrument...i got a gretcsh hollow body for Christmas last year, but the sliding bridge is too hard to get used to, the tone is awesome, but knocks out of tune pretty quickly with the moveable bridge. i don't want to affix it and ruin it, nor do i want to sell it... so it sits shrouded in a soft blankie. ok, back to your jazz... similar ...it's this one. i thought about carpet tape to affix it, anything else would change the tone, which I absolutely love, but I don't want to mess up the finish...so i do nothing. i can't get used to the string tension bridge, especially playing out, as once you get into it, you play harder, although i have gotten a bit better at adjusting it, or finding my spot so to speak. I have only played it half a dozen times. but the tone is phenominal, i just can't get used to that floating bridge.
i would like that vintage one for sure. scorpionic web that used to post here had quite a collection of vintage hollow and semi hollows, i would have loved to own! IP: Logged |

bouzouki has 8 strings? wonder if the chords are like banjo or guitar? very spanish sounding, i agree, cool tone. that would be a cool instrument to own and learn. i think once you can play a stringed instrument, any of them can be learned. i picked up on banjo in like 10 minutes....although it was just goofing off. i would really like to get an upright bass, and learn that. no fret boards, kind of heavy, but such a very cool instrument. now that would be a challenge to learn.if i ever get the chance i think i will pick up one of those bouzouki's, i like dulcimer too, but never tried to play one. BTW - i prefer the barges to the sail boats, although pretty too much work for me!something with a lot of teak really polished and kept up is right up my alley. think criscraft. can't find any pic's but i really like thoose late 80's houseboats with all the teak polished to perfection. nothing prettier. kinda like the interior of the one you posted, just beautiful. you tube on crystal bowersox doing an original independant artist track...give it a listen, she and i used to play the same beer joint... real proud of this girl..not jazz, but good stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q9h_TcnT4o hey node....
