Does anyone else experience this?

The smelling of color or sound or emotion.

The tasting of those things.

The hearing of color.

The seeing of sound and emotion.

And other sensory variations!

Like tasting a color.

Or the smell of emotions or music.

YES! But I had no idea there was an actual term for it.

I used to say stuff when I was a kid about that, and I always got "the look."

But, I would say, "Oh, this tastes so PINK!"

And things like that.

Also the "smell" of emotions. YES, for sure, they have a DISTINCT smell, probably different for everyone I would imagine.

The synethesia diminished after I treated myself for internal candida. Candida affects brain function so perhaps there's a correlation between the two conditions or maybe it was just a coincidence....

Deliverance, this is fascinating. How did you treat yourself?

I often associate tastes with places. One time a beef stew I ate reminded me SO strongly of a museum I had only been to a couple times long before.

A grape chewy candy tastes like the Colorado mountains..

Some little candy-covered chocolate balls tasted like fireworks (not a place, obviously).

Thanks everyone!
Oh yes GW,
I know what you mean about tasting pink!
charmainec,
yes, colors have taste and smells!
Some have sound too!
Deliverance,
no Candida here, but I experience the same!
Got Gemini?,
me too!
la_sexorcisto,
oh yes! I know what you mean!
And for me the Colorado Mountains taste like a grape gumdrop! Other mountains do not.
The Allegheny Mountains smell/taste like cider and blueberries.
The Smokey Mountains sound?/feel? like "time"
and taste like oatmeal cookies.

OK...some of mine...there are many more.

The number 28=grape clusters
and deep very dark blood reddish purple.

Some deep blue Summer skies taste like a NECCO candy wafer.
Or sound like a distant deep hum or sighing.
And if deep azure, smells salty, and if puffy clouds, then sounds of distant heavy bells.

Some smiles can smell and or taste like cinnamon toast, or black cherries, or wild strawberries.

Plaids/tartans, are either licorice tasting or sound like leaves rustling or being walked on.

to be continued...

PS. on a similar note;
user names here often evoke images or smells, or sounds, or tastes or emotions!

Thank sooooooo much!
