why you come to Lindaland?

Me?

It's like a homey vacation spot, where I meet up with friends I haven't seen in forever, but Dang it's good to see you again!!!

because i feel a part of her

I joined in 2004 and fell in love with many people here, wise, kind, intelligent, amazing people, people that I hardly came across in real life.
I learned a lot, and I felt like there was a place I could come to for comfort, friendship and spirituality.

these days? well even though I miss the people who I once connected with, i find it harder now though to create new friends here. i really really miss what it was like, and the people so much, even though LL hasn't really been alluring to me these days, I still feel like checking in. Im finding myself having friends on other forums which I am enjoying, just seeking out my own kind, I am human and that is what I do. I think most of the people here are great, loving and wise, and I still learn bits from time to time which I am always grateful for.

Moonwitch i hear ya~

Before the crash? Ohhh I've been here since 2001' I think. I had other names that I had to change due to stalking. I didnt/don't like that this boards and my posts come up on google if someone types one of those screen names.

I was here before there was a Lindaland,
and I'll be here when LL is long gone.

Very well said, SunChild.

There are definitely some cool forums.

I've been here since 2002 (September). I can't believe how eight years have passed so quickly...

I like the people here. Sometimes I need a break, and I visit other forums, if I'm online much at all during that time (I find myself missing another place when I'm here).

Pixelpixie, and a few others from the past, are on Facebook, but it isn't the same. I miss her, too. I woke up thinking of 1Scorp the other day... I wonder how she is. She came back for a little while, only to disappear again. I remember one or two of MoonWitch's names, but won't mention them here for confirmation (due to the whole google thing).

Now I have a long list names of people who are missing, in my head. People like proxieme, and Twin Lady (I think proxieme left after a huge blow-up - she just quietly left).

I come here for entertainment, to talk to my friends, to hear new ideas.

1Scorp was cool (as were the others, but 1Scorp never gets any attention). CardinalGal was awesome, too.

*** I woke up thinking of 1Scorp the other day. **

i think of her as well .. wondering how she's doing in life ..
ditto for some others that left and have not re-appeared ..
( are they still alive .. are they happy etc etc )

the internet in that way get's me down ..
meeting folks whom i like and would love to be around ..
but facing the fact i might never meet them face to face in this life ..

~~~~~
oops .. ** why come to LL **
boring answer ..
LL works well on my comp. whereas other sites don't ..
would have stayed away permanently the prev time i took off ..
except i spotted some taurean going thru hell in the PR forum ..
and there weren't any replies to the post ..
I came here in May 2002 after reading a few of Linda Goodman's books. I found her to be so passionate about astrology and also good natured when even describing negatives about a sign.
I've seen many changes, ups and downs, but found that LindaLand is a wonderful place where people rally around each other.
I really liked that about Linda too. Some astrologers can get so down on the negatives that it's depressing. Know what I mean?
I came here for help with learning the basics of astrology (interpretation). Some very kind souls took me under their wing and tried to help, but my approach was not entirely successful. So, I just surf the astrological forums hoping to pick up stuff by osmosis, this has not been entirely successful either.
I keep coming back to check in with the people I like here. I also love the humour of some individuals that I don't yet know so well. There are some very special people here.
Some of the advice I have been given has been invaluable - it is usually grounded in reality and accepting of human flaws. None of this text book pop-psche.
I have had excellent dream interpretations (thanks Gypsee), some interesting tarot, and some unique perspectives on charts.
I have found LLC2 the most inclusive forum (other than some personal threads), and it is one of the few places I feel comfortable posting as a 'newbie'. For this reason I find some of the recent intellectual snobbery uncomfortable. However, I am not yet emotionally invested so can usually see both sides (and nobody likes a fence-sitter in those situations!).
I keep coming back because I like you guys .
I find the clique theory interesting, as most of those I assume would be included under that badge have been those that have so far most openly engaged with me.
