Ever hear about this feng shui? It's an ancient Chinese word which means 'Put your husband's crap in the garage.'

This is The Far Side cartoon, that has been stuck in my head for the past fourteen years:

I saw it in a book, when I went Christmas shopping with my mother. We were in a bookstore, and having quickly found a couple of things on my sister's list, we opened a few funny books - starting with Jack Handy's "Deep Thoughts". We had to sit down to look through the rest, because we ended up leaning against each other, laughing so hard that we were holding each other up. That's one of my favourite memories.

This one really hit home!
The Amish folk are seen as quaint and old fashioned by most folks. Some are and do not avail themselves of modern amenities...
however many have gas generators for electricity and or buried electric lines so naive folks or their strict relatives will not
know they have washers, dryers, televisions,
electric sewing machines, and even internet and computers and so forth!
They have hidden rooms and areas which can be closed off by false wall panels when strict Amish or tourists come visiting/snooping about.

well it won't be a joke if the electric company figures it out, and they usually do..."stealing" electricity, or generating your own, is considered a crime dontcha know. with a heavy sentence attached.

GypseeWind....in Ohio, especially NE Ohio, yes!
Lancaster Pennsylvania....not sure about them.
Not actually fake Amish, just not the stereotyped ones most think they are.
They bend the rules to suit themselves.
At least they get taxed now...they did not used to.
Oh yeah, the teenage Amish are some of the most wild drunken bunch of teens! Big parties in fields and on back roads. And even 5 foot tall boom boxing speakers on backs of buggies and throwing beer cans and bottles on the road....letting the horse just go where it wants....
LOL! Equine designated drivers!
Actually rather scary though as they are sharing the roads and highways with cars and semi trucks!

Well as far as I know, they are not stealing from the electric companies...
some areas/roads do not even have electric lines...they use the gas generators instead.
And as far as I know of....here you are allowed to generate all the electricity you want to and even sell it back to the grid.
Generators are rather common in my area.

I'm just re-posting this one, after seeing it in Lexx's thread again. It tickled me, when I saw it on Facebook the other night.

Hehe, Calvin is such an Aries.

I wonder what Charlie Brown is? He has been bummed out over that "Red Hair Girl" for so long now!!!

And Snoopy, such a smooth little dude!

*I think Woodstock seems kind of above it all, maybe he is a Fishy Bird.

I am still shocked Lexx! I feel so duped!!!
