His son (I'm pretty sure it's his son) was just on PBS the other day, talking about the BP spill and how horrible it is. It was really interesting - he was quite angry and was adamant about how BP shouldn't be playing god with using techniques they aren't sure about to stem the flow since they're not sure about the long term effects. It's too bad you're not getting his voice on the major networks. He knows A LOT. IP: Logged |

LEXX~ thanks for looking. MVM~ Philippe is the president and CEO of EarthEcho, a Washington D.C.-based environmental advocacy group that focuses on the Earth's oceans. He founded the organization with his sister Alexandra Cousteau. He was born several months after his father Philippe Sr. died accidentaly in 1980. I have seen him a few times lately, he is quite the hottie. Olbermann had him on, and another show. His website is quite polished. CBS ABC GM-America-Philippe Cousteau Jr. and Sam Champion take hazmat dive into Gulf's oily waters. If we think the pictures of wildlife and wetlands are beyond horrific, take a look at a dive. He calls it a nightmare.

I've also seen Philippe Cousteau Jr. on the major US networks speaking about the BP oil spill, and good thing because as MVM said he is very knowledgeable. He is keeping a "Dispatches from the Gulf" blog on his website at http://www.earthecho.org as well as dive videos, interviews, information, etc. IP: Logged |
