Subject: Dr. Masaru Emoto and the Gulf Oil Spill — Please read

Today at our church we read a letter from Dr. Masaru Emoto who many of you will recognize as the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water. Among other things, his research revealed that water physically responds to emotions.

Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf. And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms, if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr. Emoto, himself, has proposed.

I am passing this request to people who I believe might be willing to participate in this prayer, to set an intention of love and healing that is so large, so overwhelming that we can perform a miracle in the Gulf of Mexico.

We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily…multiple times daily….can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening.

We don’t have to know how……we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater than any power active in the Universe today.

Please join me in oft repeating this healing prayer of Dr. Emoto’s. And feel free to copy and paste this to send it around the planet. Let’s take charge, and do our own clean up!

“I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, planktons, corals, algae and all living creatures…..I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.”

Thanks for your consideration.

i feel like a big hypocrite to say that prayer. how can they possibly forgive us for what our greed has done to thier home. i feel we are all responsible for using the product that hurt the environment. i do pray the earth and water will be healed, but when i see pictures of those poor animals that have been harmed, it is hard to just say, i'm sorry, forgive me, thank you, i love you....while the oil is still gushing into the water still this minute. so devastating. so sad.
....but i guess it is really all we can do.
and pray they find a solution quickly...it will probobly be years before i want to return to the gulf beaches. it is absolutely catastrophic.

as you've said elsewhere cpn, we have to love what we are. it's not like we've had a lot of choice in transport options...back in the 70s some of us were pushing for solar power and carter was right behind it but big oil squashed it. NOW some of those very companies have rights to solar production...is that to cash in or to keep it down? who knows but if we don't get in on it we will be buying power from those who are...china, the arabs, norway, germany are all getting way ahead of us there because of the footdraggers who insist on keeping their muscle cars going.

personally i have kept my gas consumption to a minimum, and use as little plastic as possible (another oil product!!) and don't take medicines...my personal boycotts. my car gets 40 to the gal and for now that's about as good as it gets in the states. in england, where gas is dearer, and europe, there are plenty of cars that get more and 40 is much more average...

there are lots of people organizing cleanup efforts we can contribute to as well. in the scheme of things, as an article i read the other day pointed out, there have been other HUGE ecological disasters which actually prompted better practices globally (like the dustbowl in the 30s changed farming) and this can have the same effect. it's not over till its over...
