there is a petition. this woman claims she was forced to "confess" to adultery under duress. she has two children and has already received 99 lashes for her "crime"...

well apart from being drawn and quartered or tarred and featherd, can't think of much more gruesome way to kill someone...amazingly iran is on the UN commission on women's rights...the booby prize they were given when other members, including the US, succeeded in barring their attempts to get into the commission on HUMAN rights!! so i'm guessing the UN, though it is protesting this stoning, ALSO considers women somewhat less than human...? personally i wouldn't even stone a RAT to death.
