it seems like drama and issues are popular on LL, particularly in this forum. it made me ask a question that i think everyone deserves to ask themselves, though honestly, it will only be an effective experiment if everyone answers Honestly. but i thought of more questions.

so here is the questions, there is no right wrong answer, the only wrong doing is not taking the question seriously and not answering truthfully, if you cannot do both, then be a pal, make me smile, and don't participate .

you pick which questions you want to answer

What do you expect from Lindaland central when you wish to read and participate in topic discussions?

what do you expect the content to be like in these discussions?

what are your objectives and aims when browsing this forum and participating in topics?

what is your overall objective and aims by being a part of this community?

what do you strive to contribute here and what to do you desire to take with you everytime you browse?

what do you want from this community most?

what do you like most about the topics in this forum?

what do you dislike the most about LL?

what would you change if you could?

have you experienced insults and discord with members here?

have you felt mistreated by moderators?

what do you think needs improving the most?

how old are you?

do you have friendships with members here?

do you have unharmonious relations to members here?

do you feel part of a circle or do you feel like an individual or outsider?

when did you join this community first?

have you left before and came back?

if so, why?

do you like this topic?

thanks, thats all for now, i will be back to answer!

quote:
What do you expect from Lindaland central when you wish to read and participate in topic discussions?

Healthy, evolving discussions about astrology without all the playground antics nor psychological narcissistic.
Dr Ruth has her own problem page.

quote:
what do you expect the content to be like in these discussions?

Interesting, passionate, dynamic, thought-provoking and positive.

quote:
what are your objectives and aims when browsing this forum and participating in topics?

To learn and be a part of a team of like-minded people in an astrological community that wishes to further and build on LL's invaluable archives.

quote:
what is your overall objective and aims by being a part of this community?

To further my astrological knowledge and to interact in a way that allows me to share and also receive inspiration and guidance.

quote:
what do you want from this community most?

Kindness and a positive frame of mind whilst conversing in a positive, informal environment. I don't want personal sob stories to over-rule what is essentially NOT a "poor me" coffee morning.

quote:
what do you like most about the topics in this forum?

the diversity and the content. The members and their love of astrology and their willingness to share.

quote:
what do you dislike the most about LL?

Nothing.
If i had to chose one thing it would be the overtly emotive posts/thread which are not in keeping with an astrological forum.

quote:
what would you change if you could?

I would change the "This could be your banner" by replacing it with an advertisement by Geocosmic Valentine and IQ promoting their talent, wealth of knowledge and professionalism.
I thank both of them for their eternal kindness in helping me out on my past threads.

quote:
have you experienced insults and discord with members here?

Yes! and it's boring zzzz
I'd rather not be labeled at all but if you must label and pigeon-hole me, for goodness sake at least "get me" before you do!!

quote:
have you felt mistreated by moderators?

Never. The mods have a tough job which they do to the best of their ability and i have no problem with how they conduct themselves. They all seem lovely and are the backbone of this forum.

quote:
what do you think needs improving the most?

the quality of the posts/thread as in filtering; warnings; bannings given to members whom like to think they are Gods gift and wanna rule and conquer.

quote:
how old are you?

42

quote:
do you have friendships with members here?

I'd like to think that i do, yes.

quote:
do you have unharmonious relations to members here?

Sadly yes.

quote:
do you feel part of a circle or do you feel like an individual or outsider?

I am always an individual, whether here or there or anywhere

quote:
do you like this topic?

I like any topic that is positive and has a purpose so yes i do like this topic.

Thank you Letram

I am happy to be here.
I love it here, actually.
I have made wonderful friends and have grown tremendously.
I think LL has the most intelligent, aware people : people with the greatest senses of humor I have ever encountered.
It is not perfect but my problem is wanting everything to be perfect, including myself, or first and foremost myself lol.
Anyway, that would be my answer.

Great questions, now if more people "checked in" with themselves with similar questions of motivation before posting then we would probably have more thoughtfulness and less kneejerk posts. It is also apparent that some respond where no response is warranted because two or more have issues ~ do they want to resolve it or do they just want to be heard? you have to ask yourself those questions because if you answered honestly then you most likely not bother posting and be off doing something that makes you truly happy.

You are all valuable and all are loved- energies are going to clash for sure, LL is a real vortex, you and me may be the opposite ends of the whirlpool spiralling out into two different directions, each with a different view of the universe, the other can speak of their view but can not convince the other that their view is also the view on the other side. It is impossible. For harmony each has to do their own thing, go their separate ways of exploration. Leaving someone to spiral out into their own direction could be the kindest most loving thing you can do, even if it looks like there are asteroids up ahead, the distance looks rough, sure you can say "watch out for this"... but you can not say "don't go."

Now the Q/A

I expect to be amongst discussions with those of higher insight and perception beyond what I find in ordinary life.

I have found most of my learning here has been fulfilled, especially in 04 -07, where I would spend hours here and the knowflakes at the time shared incredible wisdom, kindness, and spirituality. The synchronicity with my seeking and finding the answers was at its peak coming here, I would have a thirst and some wise knowflake would have an entire topic on it.
The synchronicity has reduced but it does not stop me from coming here, rather instead of the flow of seeking and answers I feel more its a home that I visit, maybe a few conversations and share topics that I like, then leave. Some topics that would have been so popular years ago would not be so much these days and may be even ridiculed.

I'm 25 and I started coming here when I was 19 ~ I have made friendships on and off here, I still speak to some older members that do not come here any more. I have left several times- sometimes LL became more irritating than interesting so that said more about me than LL, so I left and came back only when I began enjoying it again.
Irritations of others tell us a lot about ourselves, my favorite wisdom from Jung. If people bother you, and you think they are idiots (and want to tell them), well I can honestly say you are focusing on the 'wrong' thing, why immerse yourself into that energy field? ~ find a positive channel, those thoughts will only discolor your beautiful aura that you need to uplift the planet. Sure it may be "realistic", or that is the way things "are", or that's "life"... but you can be better than that, there are always holier options, there is always grace, divinity, liberty, and love.

I wish it would be easy to do that, but you're so right!

Thanks Winged Leo. It would be nice if it were. Interestingly, I have observed that I often get responses that indicate or point out that it ain't easy... Or simple. Yep, it is not easy, especially in the beginning, remodeling thought patterns ect.... Self work, ect. Really awkward for the ego. I have had responses which indicated that it may even be phony... Someone else said that once, which is not the point I want to make, but it reminded me of the reactions it can stir up in people. Being a better version of yourself will unveil what others really feel toward you, that can be tough and part of the journey, and I'm referring to real life, not just LL.

The truth is always simple underneath all the layers.
