If you pull your washer and dryer out, you will see where all those 'other socks' went.

Me today in one word: denial.

In denial today because I have two nasty big exams early next week followed by son's birthday on the next day, and parents coming to visit on that day too after not having seen them for nearly two years.

My lawns are unkempt and I haven't got the house sorted enough - the garage is still pretty disorganised - I haven't studied enough for my exams and I'm going away for the weekend.

I've been shopping like a mad woman all week - can't really afford it and I have several major bills to pay - though should manage to come through ok.

So yeah even though I know what I have to do and am not doing it - I am in denial mode - feels kind of stubborn and reckless - hope I don't become a heroin addict or something this weekend - jk - god knows what extent I will go to in this denial thing, lols

Random quote: "It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept." ~ Bill Watterson

Thanks T
My computer/browser is wonky.
Maybe that is the problem, since you can see the "missing" posts on this page 2.

Lexx, I usually need to refresh to see new posts, if I've posted in a thread, or recently visited it.

Yesterday started out poorly, and ended well, although I'm still feeling that mixture of sadness, calmness and numbness; hoping for more smiles today.

(Also):

Mum made me laugh yesterday, when she told me about an incident with a fly keeping her awake, that reminded me of T's thread.

he said: "It's a soft diamond market"
so,

I hope the lady buys my Japanese geisha doll.

because...

The pawn shop would only give me $100 for the diamond ring, so I kept it.

I was just rubbing a bit of sesame oil into the dry areas on my dog's backs (small patches, before their baths), and I realized once again, how grounding it is spending time with them; I was (am) relaxed, breathing deeply and feeling happy.

If Mother Nature's idea to give me two periods a month seems humorous to her, she needs to know that I don't find it funny in the least.
