I just put something down in my FB status about John Lennon. I was quite young and sad to hear about his passing. I was sitting in my mom's car while she went in and picked up something from her friend's place and it came over the radio.

I remember the world's reaction and all the tributes pouring out.

I am a Beatles fan and always have been. Sometimes I wonder what the world would have been like with Lennon still on earth. What would he say about what's going on today about the world. The good die so young it seems, life cut off so early.......

RIP Mr Lennon!

no to the paul stuff. linda eastman was MARRIED in the process of divorce when she hooked up with paul. her husband was not named campbell and he lived in arizona not ontario...she had several boyfriends during that period, not one was from ontario. i met her in 68. she was already planning on marrying a beatle before that, in fact several people at the fillmore east swear she planned to marry john until yoko nabbed him. NOT implying that she was golddigging or didn't really love him. only linda (m) knew the truth of THAT

and as someone who was a teenager when the beatles hit i intuitively recognize in the paul over the years the same person i watched hundreds of hours of footage of both pre and post 66.

linda had a brilliant imagination and very strong intuition but on this i think she was disappearing up a wormhole with it. IMHO and with all respect for linda intact.

there are any number of wealthy young jewish girls in new york!! and a lot of them, like linda, have lawyer fathers.

sorry ghani. of course i can be wrong too. but much as i disliked her i don't think linda mccartney was capable of that kind of acting job for 30 years...and it's not that easy to imitate every gesture, posture, turn of phrase over that long a period either. don't forget he is still around and he still hasn't done one thing out of character over all these years?

The day John Lennon was shot I found out I was pregnant with my son.
I had made an appointment with the doc because I hadn't been feeling well for days and said to my then husband
"Come back to bed. Let's stay in bed all day like John and Yoko"
And just as I uttered those words it came on the radio that he had been shot.
I went to the doctors in a daze and he told me I was pregnant.
Wonderful and sad day.

Linda Eastmann was a groupie. Had slept with most rock stars, Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison amongst others and yes she set out to bag a Beatle.
