It is 84 degrees here today after being in the lovely upper 60's and lower 70's all week.

Don't like to feel 80's in DECEMBER!!

I had to pull out the fans today because I am all sweaty after house cleaning.

Makes it a little more challenging to feel "Christmasy"

I know how you feel! Over here the temps stay around 80 all year round, and everything is always green. I don't know the month or season without looking at a calendar!
Of course we all know it's december when everywhere you go they play the same christmas songs over and over and over and over......ufda.

This year we thought about buying a miniature artificial christmas-lit palm tree because the usual pine/cedar/fir trees look so strange here.

I spent a Christmas out in CA as a child.

It felt weird!!! It was all sunny and warm and I could wear shorts.

Christmases should be cold and blustery with fireplaces and hot beverages.

I'm sure if I had to shovel snow out of my driveway I wouldn't be overly thrilled!

But to have some snow for a couple days would be nice Maybe we'll have to travel to see some.

In the mean time, it would be nice if I could at least wear one of my light sweaters this month!

I reside in south Texas and have for the past 32 years. The 16 years prior I lived in Ohio and Indiana...

I have alwasy missed the seasons, but have made the best of my "naturalized environment."

I had to travel to Indiana recently and found what my soul has been missing...SNOW! Leave it to my grandma to bless me with a white "Christmastime" on her way to heaven.

I was so at peace in the Midwest that I am planning on moving back someday.

I miss the seasons out East and when we lived in Germany. It feels weird to be back in the desert(but also wonderful since it's home) Then again, all the snow being dumped on in Germany makes me happy we left last Feb during the last blizzard. The drive from Grafenwoehr to Vilseck was treacherous at best during snow storms.

But.. I would like to see a few flurries
