Yes, IQ seems very reasonable. This was never in question. He has given lots of solid information at times. Whatever he or you choose to do with money and gifts are left up to you. You both know what the money is for on specific ends. If this service helps people and IQ is giving genuine knowledge then by all means he should be compensated.
