I love a lot of names that are quite common but I don't like them to be shortened.Like Michael should never be Mike...Mike makes me want to hurl because it destroys the whole beauty of the name. Same with Jonathan not John or Johnny(yikes) and Christopher and not Chris(shudders). Although to be fair, I call someone Mitch for some crazy reason I can't even remember...okay, that name was in Independence Day ROFL
P.s. Forgot to add, I was looking for this thread yesterday to show to my friend and today it popped up...Synchronous much
