I made this statement in another thread and it inspired me to create this topic.

What is your nutrition for your soul?

What do you do when you need to replenish yourself and you feel disconnected from your higher being?

Happy Saturday

Be alone.
Take a walk.
Love and comforting words from people.
Do something i like.
Sleeping in the sun like a cat.

I go for a long walk up the mountains here. If that doesn't work, I'll read a favourite book, or listen to some music that never fails to give me goosebumps. Not easy with a 7 year old, I must admit, so it all has to be done during school hours!

A visit to a museum while it's almost empty.

Sounds of the ocean.

Jazz (particularly Duke Ellington)

Lying down to sleep while smelling my glade apple cinnamon plug in

Oohh, I miss sleeping in the sun.
Seems like it's been winter forever, and it's just getting started.
I like sleeping under the moon too.

Sometimes when things are too much, I have to be still, like just refuse to talk to anyone and listen to my ipod for hours..

and other times, I have to use my energy on something constructive, like an art project.
Those days I usually feel really good about myself, but really bad about the mess.

So, it's a constant struggle: Mess vs. Self Worth.

Just say this topic and forum

Here is an extract from Neil Donald Walsh's Conversations with God Trilogy.

quote:
Is your soul as lonely as your mind? Is it even more neglected? And when was the last time you felt your soul being expressed? When was the last time you cried with joy? Baked a pie? Wrote poetry? Made music? Danced in the rain? Painted anything? Fixed something that was broken? Kissed a baby? Held a cat to your face? Hiked up a hill? Swam naked? Walked at sunrise? Played the harmonica? Talked 'til dawn? Made love for hours...on a beach, in the woods? Communed with nature? Searched for God? When was the last time you sat alone with the silence, travelling to the deepest part of your being? When was the last time you said hello to your soul?

------------------
NO FEAR.
NO DOUBT.
NO DISBELIEF.
Free your mind...
