I rarely listen to Internet radio at work, but a few weeks ago I was just so bored so I started listening to one of the local rock stations, streaming live on my work computer. Then, listening to everyone's song requests being made...two weeks ago, I e-mailed one of the hosts asking him to play one of Cracker's songs. I kept listening all day, but nothing. This past Friday, I get an e-mail back from the station, saying "sure, I'll try to squeeze in that song, (Crabby)." I thought to myself, "Gee, that's some delay in responding" and I knew it couldn't have been Mercury retrograde messing with my e-mails because I've gotten every other e-mail from everyone else in a timely manner. OK, so fast forward to today. Had the day off from work b/c of Martin Luther King holiday. So did my son (no school). I didn't really know what to do with him to keep him occupied but I had some errands to run, so.... took him for a haircut, went to the pharmacy, stopped at Starbucks for espresso, went back home, stopped at the bathroom, got in the car and headed to pick up our vacuum from the repair shop. Since both my son and I like rock music, I had the radio on in the car, and he, as always, was telling me which songs to leave it on, etc. We heard two or three songs and then he asked me to switch stations. I switched to the station that I had made the request to (TWO WEEKS ago). At that exact moment, I heard the host announce, " and for Crabby from (my town), New York, here's a little Cracker...." and then the song began. I screamed so loud my son didn't know what was going on. I nearly went off the road!!!! My song request from two weeks earlier was finally played at the exact moment my son had asked me to change stations... and we happened to be listening only because we were in the car... we have bad reception in our apartment. What are the odds, eh? Is there some orchestrating going on in this Universe... or what???? This one's going to have me shaking my head for days. IP: Logged |

I look at things like that as a personal sign that there is a Higher Power, that YOU are important to that Higher Power, and that all is well. Sunchronicity defies explanation. Imagine that...despite a vast Uni-verse, we insignificant primates on this tiny little blue globe are not so insignificant after all. ------------------ "Cooking is like love.
