I just want to take the time out to thank everyone for all of their selfless contributions to Lindaland by posting and raising the energy here. Never in ten years has Lindaland been doing so well! We are slammed and busier than ever! Plus, the Newflakes and Knowflakes are both posting with each other and interacting on an equal level, especially in Astrology/Astrology 2.0 which used to be predominantly just seasoned astrologers, and newbies were often scared (or felt intimidated) to post there. That wasn't an actual true reflection of the Astrology Forums, but it was a perception held by many newbies....and perception can count for something. I had no idea how to change that at the time. Yes, we have had some conflicts, but let me explain why. I have chosen some very strong Mods recently. In the past decade, there has been some tension among Knowflakes, because the Mods were always unified and viewed as a "clique" of sorts. That wasn't a good vibe. It was my intention to break away from that perception. So, I recently chose a wide array of Mods with polarizing and opposing viewpoints, so I could break up that cliquish vibe here. So, I knew there would be conflicts. All of my current Mods are opinionated and passionate (seasoned ones and new ones), so a squabble every now and then is to be expected. Yes, it was an experiment, but I was reasonably certain it would work. You don't run an international site of this size for a decade and not learn something in the process! The perceived cliques are now dissolved (we are all family--ALL of us), the energy is vibrant, and the vibe is very high (most of the time). No, I cannot ultimately take the credit for it, because it is the contributions of all of you who make it so. Thank you, one and all! ------------------ "Cooking is like love. I do plan on adding more Mods, especially as certain Forums pick up. If you notice, Lindaland's Mods encompass a wide range of diversity, including some who have been here a long time and some newer Knowflakes. Quantity and seasoning is valued, but so is quality. BTW, welcome to our newest, Frozen Queen! ------------------ "Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." Harriet Van Horne IP: Logged |

------------------ “It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.” IP: Logged |
