While I think his rants have been hilarious, I truly don't think ill of him at all. I kind of enjoy the narcissism, and applaud his courage in standing up for himself in such a public way. Most people would just shrink from public view until it blew over.

Definitely think he has a bad anger-streak. But, otherwise, agree with the above statement.

Yikes, that photo is the things nightmares are born of

Would you say that is an evil or manic look?

I'd go with evil. Definitely not manic. Maybe a personality disorder or two

No hugs for Charlie. May end up pregnant and getting death threats - or very unlucky like Kelly Preston, who he "accidentally" shot in the arm.

Apparently no one here has much experience with addicts.....?

When I watch the guy, I can think of at least five people I've been close to throughout my life that he reminds me of. He's clearly in a hypo-manic state and brings to mind one particular episode of "Intervention" I watched - a dad who was a serious crack-head, with the way he's been rambling on.

I'm surprised people here seem to be more amused and quick to label him as a whackjob, rather than see his crisis state for what it is. Kind of sad. But I do see the humor and what is funny about it too.

Too bad that this fellow human being's "low point" will most likely be death . He's already list numerous children, wives and now a great job - not to mention he allegedly beat pretty much all of his exes .

It's funny for like "a second" but then it quickly becomes more sad than anything. Maybe because I've been surrounded by addicts my whole life...understand them a bit more and have struggled myself. I've had to watch some go off the serious deep end...and am familiar with their psychology.

It's truly horrifying to witness especially when it's someone you love. I'm just saying.... Maybe say a prayer for the poor guy... I don't know...all I see is a skyline torment. And it's sad.

Actually I do have experiences with addicts, really bad experiences. My older brother is one of them (not to mention the addicts he has brought around over the years). I've never gotten into much details about it here, and I don't want to get into it now. But I will say this, I'm not looking down on Charlie Sheen, or anyone with a habit, or anyone with any type of mental disorders. Neither do I think he's a whack job. Like you, I see the humor in the things he's said, and I hope he gets well soon. But that is as far as I can go for someone I don't know, wishing him well, and hoping he eventually gets the help he needs.

When this first came about though, I was truly shocked. Charlie Harper is tame compared to Charlie Sheen.

He surely is on the fast track to no where but self destruction. And that is sad.

A combo of drugs, alcohol, media/social encouragement and ego is driving him and the out come will be disasterous

It was funny up to a point and I feel the point is now blurred.

I felt compelled to retract my post yesterday after Pluto Squared's saying he shot Kelly Preston. I don't pay attention to celebrity's lives for the most part, so I haven't followed any of that stuff. Anyway, I think you know what I'm saying. I'm pretty much the opposite of T's experience. I've dealt very little with serious addicts in my life. When I get into the fringe of such a situation I tend to change course to avoid getting very involved. As much as I'm free to choose my situation in life, I avoid the tragic.

That said, I still do think Sheen will make it into my next improv show in some way. The unbridled narcissism is just too rich.

If I have any intuition, it's that Charlie won't find death anytime soon. Perhaps it's my confidence in Virgos, but I actually think he'll swing back the other way. Yesterday, I followed the link in one of his tweets. It went to internships.com, a site that seeks to employ people via internships (the contention being that internships turn into jobs in a lot of instances). It probably is a paid gig for Charlie. He's also been on our local news for his talks with World Series closing pitcher, Brian Wilson of the SF Giants. Apparently, the talks are of a business nature (and another news outlets have seemingly been aghast at the fact that no drugs or alcohol seem to be involved). Virgos cycle like that.

He has a history of violence.

Sheen's Wife Tells Police He Put Knife to Her Throat

An arrest warrant affidavit released Monday quotes Brooke Mueller Sheen as saying that the actor straddled her on a bed with one hand grasping her neck and the other holding the knife. She said Sheen told her: "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you."

He also told her, "Your mother's money means nothing, I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace," according to the affidavit.

Kelly Preston Shot by Charlie Sheen

Sheen has a long history of being abusive to the women in his life. He allegedly shot actress Kelly Preston in the arm in 1991 while they were engaged. It was deemed an "accident" but since the engagement ended something serious happened between Preston and Sheen.

Brittany Ashland Abused by Sheen

Also, in 1996 Charlie Sheen abused his girlfriend Brittany Ashland. The Los Angeles Times notes that he "pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of battery with serious bodily injury." That domestic dispute involved Charlie causing Brittany to become unconscious when his violence knocked her to the floor.

I watched a little bit of an interview with him last week, after "V", and had to stop - he reminded me a bit of someone who just recently threatened suicide. I've just seen that police are at Sheen's home, because he apparently threatened to harm himself?

*edit. I could have sworn I just saw that as I was passing the TV in the kitchen, but I googled, and see that they were checking his house for guns, and there's nothing on the TV up here.

I didn't like that he called his exes "trolls," when asked if he'd really hurt them physically.

I haven't been keeping up with much of anything celebrity-wise, and it bugs me how the media feed off of people like this. That bugged me when I was sixteen, and I saw them all camped out on someone's lawn (I can't remember who).
