Merc Rx, you freakin' piece of @#$%^&*! Had a hold on my account for college, so I couldn't sleep knowing I wouldn't be able to register at 6 am when my time starts. Was told everything would be fine. Then after being up all night, the whole server at the college went down at 6 am on the dot, and I was right, I couldn't register, but no one could. It gets to 7 am, and I still can't register. I'm put on hold for so long that I just go to the college. Come back home. Go back to the college. Four, five, six times...I lost count. I'm told it will be fixed in an hour. It gets fixed. It goes back out. It comes back up. They restart the server, and I have been glitched out of existence. They fix it and create me back into existence. Then I have a restriction on registration and have to go back to the college. I don't know how much more I can endure. My blood pressure is through the proverbial roof. I finally get registered, and with no sleep and fettered with frustration, I walk by the side of the college, and WHAM, I get hit by a car. j/k But WHAM, I see a big beautiful Turtle with a bright shell walking in front of me. The Turtle has a very specific totem meaning that answered many things for me this day, and the Uni-verse...within its synchronous machinations that we like to deceive ourselves by calling "randomness"...shows me that the insignificant can be so very significant...and that heaven and earth will move if need be to send a Sign. Had I not endured the frustration of the day's events, I would not have been at that place at that moment in time--staring at the beautiful shell of Mr. (or Mrs.) Turtle as we silently conversed in a meaning deeper than mere words would have allowed. The message was loud and clear: "Slow down." That was aptly applicable for today, but it was meant for my whole life. And there's much more to the meaning...but you can read up on the Turtle Totem yourself. The Turtle then seemed to nod at me and scurried off on to its destination (BTW, Turtles can move fast!). And I, in awe of the gentle beauty of a trivial chance event turned magnificent, am then filled with such Peace. No matter how bad things get, always look for the Turtle. ------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. The Chinese believe seeing a Turtle,at your door step or whatever, means a delay in plans of some sort.A friend of mine saw one at his door step and than he and fiance delayed their wedding. But turtles are very cute looking. And I'm glad it offered some sort of enlightenment. IP: Logged |

After I fed my duckies late this afternoon (they wag their ducky tails at my front door every day for breakfast or dinner or both...and the occasional brunch), I went to the lake and saw a bunch of happy baby Turtles playfully swimming all over the edge of the the lake like they hadn't a care in the world. So cute! IP: Logged |

Watching the new Hawaii Five-0 , and they looked at rock etchings. Only one animal was mentioned. Yeah, you guessed it...the Turtle. Now, I definitely need to look into the symbolism much deeper. I hereby dub today Turtle Day!IP: Logged |

Cool experience, Randall! I love those perception shifts that allow us to see synchrony rather than coincidence. As for the Turtle... ever read Stephen King's "It"?And I hope you got your schedule worked out...? IP: Logged |

Turtles : a good omen. In our place we consider seeing even mongoose and a kind of crow namely 'sonkavla'(literal translation- golden crow, though it isn't golden at all. It is bright blue with sandy wings) to be good omen. It seems something good happens that day. And yes even cobras mating. IP: Logged |

I seem to be haunted by Turtles everywhere now. Maybe the Turtle is my spirit animal? Yeah, I got every class I wanted. Five-O is a well-written show, and it is usually fantastic, but last night was a boring episode.------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one.
