I just saw Paul. I didn't expect much. I didn't want to see it, but my friend is the manager, so I got in free, but I had to watch what he wanted to watch. I just thought it would be a funny movie. The trailers are very deceptive. It's no kids' movie. It's rated R for a reason. It was outstanding! LEXX, if you haven't seen it, you will love it. Lots of religion in it. We also saw Source Code. This movie, I had high expectations of. It was a bit of a let-down the first half. But give it a chance. It really comes back and redeems itself. This movie was soooooo great! It is filled with Star Signs. No Turtles, though. Haha! But some Turtleish messages woven within. My friend is on vacation this week, and he wants to see another movie tomorrow. Any recommendations? ------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman IP: Logged |

Good question I rarely go to movies and I haven`t heard anyone talking about a good one lately. AG attends a lot of them so maybe he will offer some up.------------------ ~The Earth Laughs In Flowers~ ... Emerson IP: Logged |

Source Code & HANNASource Code was better than I expected, so I thought that was pretty special. Hanna was exactly as expected, so I enjoyed it. IP: Logged |

Yeah, Hanna was good. Sort of an indie version of an action movie in a stripped down, european sort of way Randall, you were surprised about Paul? I take it you haven't seen Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz then The previous Simon Pegg/Nick Frost vehicles, Shaun being the best of course. It's a comedy with horror like Paul was a comedy with comic books! I liked Paul better than Hot Fuzz. The first half of Fuzz is murder mystery and then it turns into buddy-action movie. Still funny, still way gory. Both are much gorier than Paul just so you know. I didn't like Sucker Punch as well as the previous Zack Snyder movies 300 or even Watchmen. It was okay. Had good music though, bunch of covers of really awesome rock songs. Even a Beatles cover! Adjustment Bureau was good too. I'm probably going to see Your Highness this week. From the director of Pineapple Express which I <3 And then Bridesmaids comes out, and some other stuff I can't remember now, and Kung Fu Panda 2 near my birthday! Yay! IP: Logged |

Red Riding Hood was awesome. Going to watch Adjustment Bureau and Unknown Tuesday, even though they have been out a while.IP: Logged |

I saw 'Your Highness' and laughed like crazy. It was an awesome 'date movie'... Just look at the people in it, and their sense of humour/integrity in their movie choices. Lots of sarcasm, dryness, silliness...like a parody of all your favourites growing up.Apparently, group of them (Danny mcBride etc) would sit around and blurt out movie titles and they'd make up what the movie would be about, and someone said ' your highness' and the idea was born, and it was goofy but they couldn't get it out of their heads. i recommend the opposite randall if you havent already, go back in time, look up great filmes that were released years ago, back to the early 00's, back to the 90s/80s/70s/60s/50s and the 40s even. IMDb is a start, try the top250 list IP: Logged |

Don't get out much to adult movies lately, since hubbie and I are busy taking the little guy to all the kids movies. Rio was fabulous, LOL. Lots of yucks. But if you haven't seen True Grit (no longer in theaters), I highly recommend it. Loved every second. IP: Logged |

Rango is good. That movie made me think "Daddy!, buy me a Rango! I want one now!!" jkBut Rango is very loveble. As for a few other charactors. I saw Insidius this week. VERY GOOD. I havn't had a horror flick impact me like that for a while. I was pretty into it the whole time. I even get a bit paranoid being home alone sometimes. LOL IP: Logged |
